"This hotel is not up to Hilton standards.
First of all, you're forced to use the valet service. In the hotel description, they make it sound like you have the option of parking yourself, but when we got there they tell us the nearby garage doesn't offer overnight parking. This was just the first of many disappointments about this Homewood Suites.
The front desk workers don't explain anything thoroughly. For instance, they charged a $200 incidental fee (which is exorbitant by the way) that they did not bother explaining to me when I checked in. I had to figure that out for myself.
When we got into our room, we discovered our TV remote was missing and the phone didn't work.
None of the amenities were adequate. We had a suite with two queen beds, meaning it sleeps foue people. But there were only three bath towels and one washcloth in the bathroom. Not to mention in the kitchen there were only two coffee mugs, two plates and no forks. There was no closet, no laundry bag, and only one nightstand in the middle of the two beds.
Probably the most annoying thing about this hotel is that you have to put your room key into this little slot so that all the electricity in the room works. Once you take it out of the slot, the lights and the TV and the air conditioning might just randomly turn off on their own.
Also, make sure you shut the bathroom door at night or the automatic lights may just come on every time you move in bed.
We will never stay at another Homewood Suites."
