"Travelled with my partner for a five-night stay. Overall, it was a decent stay. The location is excellent and within walking distance of most places. However, front-facing rooms can be noisy due to constant car horns, so it may be worth requesting a room on the opposite side. The room was a good size, housekeeping kept it clean, and the bed was comfortable. However, the air conditioning was poor and never got particularly cold, even on the lowest setting. The hotel feels a little dated and could benefit from refurbishment. Some fittings were loose, paint was peeling in places, the shower head was dirty, and the bathtub was in need of a deep clean. Unfortunately, the women's steam room was out of order throughout our stay, leaving only the sauna available. Both facilities are very small, fitting only two people comfortably, and must be booked around 45 minutes in advance. Our most disappointing experience was on the final night. Reception advised my partner to join me in the men's steam room as the women's was still unavailable. We called ahead to ensure it was ready, but another guest entered and became angry, claiming he had been there first. Although I explained I rang Reception, he continued shouting, so we chose to leave rather than risk an argument and spoiling our holiday. Breakfast was average and could benefit from more hot options. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Overall, a decent hotel, but I would probably stay elsewhere next time."

"This was the worst and most frustrating experience I’ve ever had at a hotel, let alone at a St. Regis. I would have expected the highest quality service and food while I relaxed, but instead found myself with food poisoning, running around trying to serve myself, and leaving restaurants and bars early without eating or drinking after waiting hours for service. Even when I was finally able to place an order or receive service, 9 times out of 10 I was forgotten and never received what I ordered/asked for. This was an abysmal waste of my time and was the furthest thing from relaxation. I do NOT recommend."
