Check in and out was incredibly easy, and pleasant. I was greeted immediately upon arrival, and checked in, I was then given great maps and directions from the hotel to the Abbey and locations I wished to visit during my stay. It was all very lovely!

The hotel is right in the center of Old Town. The outdoor terrace was a nice touch. The rooms were clean, a bit on the smaller side. The hotel had a nice historic feel however the bathroom had mold in the grout lines and the basement had a musty smell. A very convenient place stay. Lots of cafe’s, and restaurants near by.

Great location on the edge of downtown Melk so out of heavy traffic. Staff always ready to help. Breakfast was fresh and enough to kickoff the day. Room as expected and due to high temperatures (>95°F), they had a cooling fan as well explained how to use the awnings to aid in cooling. Can't acknowledge that the staff was superb and attentive. Worth a visit

Even though the hotel is on the main square in Old Town, it’s surprisingly quiet. The village itself is very clean and peaceful. My room faced the square and had a balcony with an awning and seating. Picture perfect.
The weather was hot during my stay, but with the provided fan and the open windows, the room stayed comfortable, even for a midday break. Complements for the excellent linens! So comfortable and cool.
Breakfast was seasonal and local, and the staff at reception and breakfast were friendly and helpful.

The attractive hotel is very conveniently located at the edge of the old city. Parking was provided across the street. Our room was compact but very well designed, bright and fresh feeling. There was also a small balcony with seating that was a pleasant place to view the activity in the square.
Breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and gave us an excellent dinner recommendation.
My husband has some mobility limitations and I was concerned that the hotel has no elevator. I explained this at booking and was appreciated being given a room on the first floor, up only one flight with a good railing.
