First time staying at a MOXY hotel and it was definitely not your standard hotel.
Things to note:
- No coffee machine in the room; had to go to the lobby for coffee.
- There was no desk in the room, so not a great hotel option if you need to work.
- They play music in the hallways at all hours. There is even a bucket of earplugs by each elevator. If you're sensitive to noise, this is not the hotel for you.
- There are linen closets on most floors (except 3) where you are expected to get towels, toiletries, etc. yourself.
Cons:
- I asked for daily room cleaning and they only came once in 4 nights.
- I asked for a late checkout and was told 2pm was fine. At 2pm I received a phone call from the hotel asking why I hadn't checked out at 11am. There needs to be better communication between the front desk staff.
- A room key card is needed to get into the hotel from the back entrance, but once you're in the hotel lobby, anyone can access the hotel rooms via the elevators. I would have felt much safer if the elevator access was also restricted to guests with room key cards.
For the price, I would rather stay at a more traditional hotel.
