I enjoyed my stay at Kings Inn but it was few things wrong with the hotel. The room was clean but the bathroom did have a few problems. Also, the staff was very nice.

Omg!!!! Okay so I should have known being that I am from Memphis and live here! My husband and I like to do staycations. My crazy butt see this on Expedia and was like oooh this is cheap and I have never heard of them. The room smelled like everything was dipped in cigarette smoke. There were roaches in the bathroom! I couldn’t sleep and was ready to just go back home! So this definitely won’t be on our staycation list! Matter of fact, it shouldn’t be on anyone’s list!

Travelocity needs to remove this property from their offerings and VET the hotels they chose to advertise. It was so rundown it looked abandoned, likely a spot for sex workers (no shade meant to sex workers) and drug deals. Truly. Every surface wreaked of cannibas and tobacco. A total stranger knocked on my door wanting who knows what. A pickup idled in a remote part of the lot for hours. I have had many travel experiences with less than wonderful experiences, but this place was UNSAFE and completely unexceptable.
I moved out without spening a night. You will too.

Nothing here helped me relax. First room was okay, but fridge had food leftover from previous occupant and ceiling leaked over the bedside table.
Second room was clearly a smoking room - it reeked of cigarette smoke and linens had cigarette burns. Shower did not work in second room.
My police escort requested the room change because the first room was deemed a possible crime scene, but desk clerk was told to gove me this one. Too distraught from my previous evening's experience, I said nothing, but did my best to sleep it off and start fresh in the morning.
