「This is the best hotel we have ever been to. It is designed, built, and operated by the owner JC Espinoza, an accomplished architect for his clients. The view is simply phenomenal overlooking volcano Masaya which had a minor eruption on Dec 22, 2024. The hotel also overlooks lake Masaya, an old volcano crater. 「We booked the upstairs apartment, which has two queen beds and a very spacious bedroom with a TV. It includes a kitchenette, a small fridge, a dining table, and a living room with a TV. The AC worked perfectly in the bedroom. Everything in the apartment was spotless and very well maintained, which made the stay even more comfortable. 「First time in Nicaragua, only stayed one night at this property. As a solo female traveler, dinner options would have been nice to keep from venturing out after dark. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. No hot water, though that's a norm in Central America. It was within walking distance of the "touristy" area. Bed was comfortable enough and the area was quiet. They were even nice enough to let me use their bathroom several days later when I passed back through. :-)」
