No me informaron del cambio del nombre del Hotel, así que yo hice mi reservación con Art57 al llegar y no encontrarlo llame y fue que me avisaron que había cambiado de nombre a Casa Aura como no avisas algo así de importante, ingresé con desconfianza al lugar, había insectos en la habitación y olía a humedad, de los servicios el agua caliente solo tuve un dia de los demás agua fría, prácticamente solo lo ocupe para ir a dormir y aún así no me agrado mi estancia, la última noche ni quise quedarme ahí, me fui. El chico de recepción fue bastante amable.

I stayed at Casa Aura for a few days during my trip to Mérida and would absolutely stay here again. This is not a luxury boutique hotel, but it is comfortable, welcoming, quiet at night, and in a great location. What stood out the most to me was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Whenever I needed something, they found a way to help. My room had everything I needed: A/C, Wi-Fi, TV, a hairdryer, toiletries, towels and space to hang my clothes. When the room felt a little cold for me, I asked for an extra blanket and they took care of it. There was always someone available at the front, which also made me feel comfortable coming and going. I arrived around 8 p.m. and had no problem checking in. I really enjoyed the pool and the continental breakfast, especially sitting outside surrounded by all the greenery. It was such a peaceful way to start the morning. The location was another big plus. I walked all over Mérida from here—to Paseo de Montejo, nearby streets, parks and other areas I wanted to explore. I rarely felt like I needed transportation. One suggestion: bring mosquito repellent! With the beautiful plants and tropical setting, mosquitoes can get into the room if you leave the door open. For approximately $60 a night when I stayed, I thought it was a very good value. It felt simple, comfortable and relaxed, and the kindness of the staff made my stay even better. I would definitely return.

We booked a package through Expedia for a stay at Hotel Aura, and the experience was extremely disappointing from the very first day. My sister found a bed bug on the bed, and when she lifted the sheets, she discovered an actual nest of bed bugs on the mattress. When she reported this to the front desk, they dismissed her concerns and insisted it was just an ant. She requested either a refund or a room change, and while they agreed to move her, the new room was no better. The bedsheets had visible blood stains, and once again, bed bugs were present. When she raised the issue again, the staff claimed the stains were from the washer and continued to deny the presence of bed bugs. Since the hotel refused to issue a refund, she contacted Expedia, who reached out to the hotel directly. Even then, Hotel Aura stated they could not provide a refund and instead offered only breakfast and an airport shuttle—an unacceptable response given the health and sanitation issues. We also have photos documenting everything so future travelers can clearly see the conditions and be aware before booking. No hotel should be operating with active bed bug infestations or dismissing guests who report them. This was an overall negative and stressful experience, and we hope sharing it helps others avoid the same situation.

En general, fue una estadía tranquila. El personal fue fue amable. No le saqué provecho a la “piscina” privada. Realmente es como una pileta y se ensucia fácilmente con insectos y “basuritas” de los árboles y plantas; tuve que pedir que la limpiaran y la pude usar pero al día siguiente ya estaba igual. Lo único que no me gustó de la habitación, es que por las tardes olía a drenaje.

Es un hotel con una nueva administración y cambio con remodelacion con concepto, espacioso,cuenta con habitaciones amplias,cómodas,una realidad que me gustó es la isonorizacion de las ventanas de los cuartos en planta alta con un 80 a 90% de cancelación de ruido de la calle,camas amplias y limpias,baño mediano pero con suficiente espacio como regadera,tocador,wc, y un pequeño closet,televisión que funciona bien,con canales de cable y otros y SmartWatch tv.incluyen un desayuno tipo americano qué consta de fruta moderadamente y café refil,personal atento y con soluciones para tus necesidades e imprevistos, Soluciones qué se agradece,alberca en buenas condiciones, ideal para asistir con pareja o familia de preferencia por ahora de mayores de edad. Sin duda una buena opción para descansar después de un buen recorrido por Mérida. Anteriormente se llamaba art.57. Hoy hotel Aura. Recomendado y buena hubicacion. En hora buena .
