“We have stayed at Alpine River Cottages many times over the years, and for a good reason. The location is central to both Bright and Myrtleford, without the business of either town. The cottages overlook the tranquil Ovens River, where in Summer you can swim and enjoy the natural surrounds. This time, we received a surprise, an upgrade to the new cottage—a self-contained tiny house with a view of the Mountain and the beautiful river. Warm and cosy, we had peace and quiet. “The room was incredibly clean and comfortable. The staff amazingly friendly, shout out to Ros who called me to confirm our stay and advised she would have the room ready early for checkin. Cooked breakfast was ok.”

“Spacious room with all that my wife and I needed for a long weekend, including kettle, fridge and toaster so we could prepare our own breakfasts. A microwave available in a common area was useful to reheat a ready-cooked meal we brought from home for our first night. There is also washing machine, but we didn't use it so can't comment. “It was easy checking in since they send you all the details a few hours before you come. There is no reception, but staff are responsive when you sms them. The place is clean, but it would have been better if both bathrooms had provision of toiletries. The shampoo, conditioner and soap were only available to one of the bathrooms, so we just ended up using one when it would have been easier to be able to use both given that we are family. One of the toilets had something dripping from the roof so……
