"We've stayed at the Red Lion I believe 3 times now and every time it's been a wonderful stay. It's a 5-10 minute quick bus down into the heart of downtown or a 20 ish minute walk depending on speed down as well. It's such a good location and a wonderful price for the amenities nearby. The Jade Garden restaurant downstairs is wonderful and always a treat after a long day adventuring. Staff is wonderful and helpful! "
"I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, no-stress place to stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The heated pool, hot tub and sauna was so relaxing."
"My room was extremely clean and brand new furniture and carpeting. I was put into a suite. It had a kitchen, dining room, living room and bedroom. Also a balcony facing the water and park. I really appreciate it having this room and will definitely be back"
"The staff is very profeessional and helpful. I want to give a special shout out to Jake, who went above and beyond to print and scan an email an important time sensitive document that needed a signsture. "
"Noisy most of the night. We had a suite with a sleeping loft and queen sofabed.below. There were 3 of us
The sofabed was so uncomfortable that my husband gave up and slep on the floor

"The biggest thing going for this hotel is the centralized location. It is an excellent spot from which to explore Victoria and also from which to go find some fun stuff to do. Having the Sticky Wicket pub right next door along with a liquor store also makes it very easy to get a drink. Additionally, there is a hotel parking lot nearby though this is an outdoor lot. Property was a little on the older side but still fully functional and well maintained, I had no issues in my room. The only real issue I had was the lack of fitness facilities, however, with all the walking around I was doing, this wasn't that much of a problem."
"The room was good, we took the side that has a view to the Harbour on the second floor. Apparently there was some construction near the Harbour, though there was no sound or any disturbances to our room. Room as such was comfortable. Ensuite Bathroom is small, specifically the sink. But overall a good stay.
Parking is free and is at nice location next to the other side of the hotel. Never had any issues with parking or for attaining any free spot"
"While the Fairmont is grandiose, clean, and staff make an exceptional effort to ensure you’re cared for, for $800 a night it leaves a lot to be desired. We booked a “city view” room and our windows were 2/3 fogged to block the view of the alley. It was very loud (big trucks, etc). The room itself was clean, mattresses and pillows were nice, the bathrooms are old and tiny and overall disappointing. Additionally, it took over 4 hours for us to get our luggage after the bell hop had taken it. Staff worked hard to remedy this and we appreciate that. Despite this, for $800 a night I would not stay here again. "
