You get what you pay for

The hotel is in good conditions. For a 2 star I think it has everything it needs : nice rooms, WiFi, nice staff, elevator that works, hot water and nice a view.

As you can see Metz station just down the road from the hotel room, it is clearly well-located when travelling by train. The selected room was quite large and clean and tidy on arrival. Breakfast is a real bargain (especially compared with other hotels of a similar category) and had an excellent choice of drinks and breakfast foods and anything else you require can be found at the station

Extremely outdated furniture. No air conditioning, nor fans offered although 40 degrees inside the room. Did not dare take a look underneath the beds after having seen the bathroom with barely any soap left in the holder.

The gentleman at the front desk was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, he gave me valuable suggestions on my trips. He offered to keep my snacks in the fridge ( none at the room). The room has basic features, clean.

Musty, moldy bathroom

Unfortunately, our experience did not match the previous reviews. While the rooms appeared clean and tidy at first glance, there was a moldy, musty smell coming from the bathroom. The sheets appeared laundered, with a stain on one pillowcase. With the mold emitting from the bathroom, sleeping in this hotel would have made me sick. They require payment upfront at check in, before we saw the room, so we had already paid. We attempted to resolve the issue with the hotel, but were unsuccessful. While the clerk was kind, he said he could not provide a new room because they were sold out. And he indicated he could not provide a refund because I paid my credit card. We left the hotel and did not stay the night. I have emailed the management email for a resolution or refund, but have not yet received a response. My lesson in this case and advice to you, ask to view the room before you pay.

Hôtel qui a su garder son charme ancien avec élégance. L’hôtel se situe à 10 min à pied du marché de noël ce qui permet de se balader tranquillement dans le centre-ville. Petit bémol stationnement payant au total 12e pour la nuit plus 4e le matin pour un départ à 11h. Personnel de chambre très actif dans le nettoyage mais malheureusement très bruyant .
