Everything was very clean and the apartment was well stocked with everything I needed to cook. The staff were all extremely kind- I’m unfortunately not fluent in Spanish but that was never a problem. ULIV was a great location for our stay in Mexico City. Very easy to walk to restaurants and shopping. Quiet neighborhood overall. The rooftop deck was a great feature for relaxing outdoors, reading, working. Comfortable and underused while I was there - definitely a bonus. The room was smaller than it appeared in photos, but manageable since my partner and I pack light. All kitchen appliances worked. Overall the rental was pretty clean. Bathroom lacked hooks for towels. The hot water seemed to be out for a couple of days. I did not investigate with staff so cannot say if this happens often. A couple of cool showers were okay after warm days of site seeing. We did utilize the laundry facility, another nice bonus. It was clean, free, and I’m working order. I would definitely stay here again. Good value for the price.

There was no temperature control in the room other than a fan. The toilet seat did not fit the toilet and the toilet tilted side to side. The front entrance was tiled with shiney black tile and there were 2 angled steps that were very hard to see.

ULIV Hotels are unusual - they have minimal front desk service and no other amenities. (I have stayed at two so far.) For check in you provide info via a website and you receive a room code. The only front desk assistance at check-in is likely to be verifying your ID. If you want a full-service, or even any-service, hotel, this is not it. Even housekeeping is an upcharge. That said: a very clean, spacious room, with a comfortable bed and a well-equipped kitchen. Our rooms were big and bright. The staff are friendly and they did provide additional coffee pods and hold our luggage after check-out. Also: they left bottles of wine for us! A few notes: - The shower in one room leaked all over the bathroom floor which was annoying. (I did not complain.) - The coffeemaker is stupid Nespresso pods that make half a cup. - There is some street noise and very bright lights across the street. (The room had good dark shades.) It is NOT a busy street. - The only AC is a floor unit that did minimal cooling. The room got quite warm in the afternoon with the sun on the windows. - There is a 7-11 at the end of the block, and a coffee place next door. And lots of other options within a few blocks. Would definitely start here again.

The room was great, it had a usable kitchen (complete with provided utensils and pans), which is amazing for longer stays, and the location was great. The staff at the counter were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
