About this property
Epic stargazing at the Treehouse Chalet
Leave the city behind in this spacious and serene space. This is our family's cabin where we come for quiet, and to commune with nature. Lots of space to spread out, play games, have a glass of wine on the deck, or sit by the fire. There are lots of stairs, so keep that in mind. But once you've reached the top, it's time to unwind. The space It's 1.5 flights of stairs to get to the main entrance/mudroom. Once in, you will be rewarded with the sounds of frogs, geese, hawks, and crickets. The nature sounds make this place so relaxing and enjoyable and why we come back as often as possible.
The house is two stories. The lower level has the Mud Room, Family Room with a sleeping area (double bed), a Bedroom with 2 twin beds, and a Bathroom. The upper level has two Bedrooms (King and Queen beds), a bathroom and the Great Room with space to cook, dine, and relax.
Outside of the Great Room is a deck for relaxing. Right below is a second deck with the same great view, but has a shady roof...great for hot summer days. Guest access The whole house is yours to enjoy. Other things to note Due to the cabins geographical location in the mountains, PG&E will occasionally shut off the power during high wind events to prevent a potential wild fire. This is rare, but possible.

My family and I absolutely loved this cabin. It was everything we wanted, quiet and beautiful. We only had to ask for one or two things and they were waiting for us when we arrived. I would stay again should I take a trip to the Sierras.
Perfect cabin for a family snow trip! Lise is an amazing host and was much help during winter snow storm! Cabin was well stocked, clean, and very cozy. Our kids loved all the games and playing in the snow.
This property is SO cool, instant fans as soon as we arrived and already are planning when to come back. Everything was clean and well kept and the morning sun coming through the windows is amazing. Can’t wait to return !!
Thank you for a fantastic experience staying at your cabin. The cabin is spacious, clean and has everything you need. We really appreciated great quality mattresses and linens. The cabin is quiet, heating works very efficiently. The hot tub in the main bathroom was a great addition that our kids enjoyed a lot.
Lovely, rustic family cabin in the hills. Perfect for our group of 6 & plenty of room to spread out for different activities. It was stinking hot the weekend we were there, but comfy at night thanks to fans in every room - we were gone all day exploring lakes and mountains anyway. Watching the full moon rise from the balcony will be a lifetime memory for all of us. Well equipped kitchen and super responsive hosts. Thank you!
We had a wonderful time at what we are now calling “the Cozy Cabin”. We are two couples who each have a 2 year old kiddo and this cabin was a perfect base for our adventures in the Sierras. We didn’t have to drive far to find snow play areas along CA-108.
The kitchen is fully equipped and had everything you’d possibly need. You could tell this is someone’s home and the owner takes very good care of it. We enjoyed making a fire in the fireplace after long days of snow play. The 2-floor set up makes it really easy for two families to share the home.
Communication with the host was easy and pleasant. Check-in was smooth and everything was as expected! We hope to be back to the Cozy Cabin either in winter or summer! It seems like there are many things to do in the area no matter the season. Thank you, Lise!
