  • My dad's friend owns a really cool karting circuit in Pageas, a few kilometres from Chalus where I grew up in France. They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! The sunrise was spectacular with some nice pink colours and mist in the valley.

Vacation home with character, great location.

Allthough a part of our group arrived earlier, Leigh was very flexible to let them in earlier.We had some minor remarks in the first days of our 2-week-stay about the kitchen, chairs and windows but they went above and beyond to accomodate us.The house is really spacious, with clean nice bedding and towels. Also the nearby gated pool is definitely a plus.We chose this accomodation because it has a lot of character and for the nice view and location. You can even spot deers in the afternoon/evening from the terrace. But because of it being an older building it could use some extra attention on some small points.Overall, we had a lovely stay and communication was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Bon séjour à Mialet

- bon accueil de Leigh, qui a trouvé un lit bébé car je n’avais pas spécifié qu’il en fallait un, étant donné que cet équipement était listé dans l’annonce. - la maison est charmante, agréable à vivre. Elle permet de rayonner facilement dans la région. - une belle piscine très appréciée par tout le monde. - literie de qualité moyenne ou médiocre. Cuisine assez peu équipée pour parer à des repas de 12 personnes : pas de saladiers, pas d’essors-salade, une cafetière à piston, verres en quantité très limitée, peu d’ustensiles, une table dans la cuisine où on ne peut dîner à 12, mais la table extérieure permet bien d’accueillir 12 personnes..

Maison idéale pour une famille avec de belles pièces de vie et de nombreuses chambres

Que des points positifs. Le seul petit bémol concerne la precision insuffisante de l'adresse qui nécessite soit l'utilisation des coordonnées GPS, soit dans notre cas l'assistance bienveillantes des propriétaires pour trouver la maison. L'ajout d'un plan d'accès serait un must.

Vacances de RÊVE malgré le covid

Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été agréablement surpris par la propreté de la maison et ses abords. Le cadre est génial, aucun vis-à-vis, nous ne risquons de déranger personne. La maison et la piscine sont très spacieuses et très bien entretenues. Petit + pour Leigh qui est aux petits soins avec nous, et nous envoie régulièrement des messages pour savoir si nos vacances se déroulent bien,... Petit bémol avec le manque d'ustensiles de cuisine adaptés pour une si grande maison (casseroles trop petites pour cuire des pates pour 10 personnes,...) Nous avons donc passé un excellent séjour!!
