"BEWARE!!! This was terrible. It’s not a hotel by any means. Located in a bad neighborhood, there is no one there to greet you. We stood on a rotting porch for 15 minutes after ringing the ring doorbell only to be told someone would be there in 2 minutes. The smoke alarm dead battery screech coming from inside told me enough. "Nice room and close to MSG and train station, great location. Only issue, I arrived early and the staff was great and did the check in so when the room was ready I would be able to get key and check in quickly. Once I arrived later after receiving a text the room was ready I waited in line and then a different staff said I didn't have a room. I was in a panic and explained I already checked in and had a text. I even gave confirmation number and still a blank look from staff not finding my reservation. Finally after I clearly giving my name for the third time she was able to find my room. No apology for making me frustrated. I even had to ask for a cookie it was not offered."

"This was a great hotel to stay in while we spent the weekend in NYC attending Broadway shows. Location was great. Room was clean, linen and towels were clean, bed was comfortable. No issues in the room but some may want to know that there is no chair or desk and there is no safe in the room. The staff at the front desk, housekeeping, the doorman, the bellhop, and the staff who were monitoring the elevators at times were friendly and helpful. The biggest negative about this hotel was the elevators for those of us staying on floor 16 or above. There were 2 different types of elevators with different call systems. The elevators were on the small size (but maybe it’s standard size for a building of that age). We often had to wait a while for an elevator because of the call systems and the number of people using them over the weekend. But I don’t think we ever had to wait more than 5-6 minutes, which can seem like a long time if you’re in a hurry to get somewhere. Overall this was a great hotel and I would stay here again especially if I wanted to be in Times Square."
