short getaway and visit to Yosemite

In this rural mountain setting (yet not far from Mariposa), we relaxed as we watched the sunset and soaked in the hot tub. Yosemite is a relatively easy drive from here--and we had time to explore the Park and then relax at Sunset Roost. The home is very well equipped. We will go back!

We had a wonderful experience and would for sure stay again! Extremely clean and well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. We enjoyed the daily visits from the turkeys too!

Amazing property

Our stay was awesome the house is super clean and the property is beautiful. The patio area is great to relax with family and the sunset at this is amazing we have stayed and this property twice and will be going back someday.

Amazing property with stellar views

We loved getting to stay at the roost for our Yosemite trip! The drive to the park is easy and gorgeous and we loved spending our evenings having dinner on the patio and watching the sunset as well as taking a soak in the hot tub. The perfect place to relax after a day of hiking!

A well needed break

This has been one of the best properties I have been in; it is super quiet, beautiful, and spacious. The house has almost everything you can think of you will need even super fast internet. Really quiet and peaceful. The beds are really comfortable. I am sure to come back to get a break from city life and disconnect myself.

We visited Tracy and David’s heaven and it was just that. The house was warm and inviting as well as set up for our family to gather outside and in. The views were spectacular!!!!!! We had no trouble navigating the area.

Relaxing home base for Yosemite

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. We spent our days in Yosemite (the drive to the park is beautiful )and were excited each day to come back to the house for a relaxing evening. The hosts provide everything you need in the kitchen and bath. It was very clean and the attention to detail was appreciated. Great communication with the owners. The grounds and back porch was amazing!

A Slice of Paradise!

We loved our recent stay at the Sunset Roost. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and a massive, very private beautiful backyard deck to enjoy the evening sunsets! Hidden gem outside Yosemite Valley

Sunset Roost is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of San Francisco and the crowds of Yosemite. Tucked away it offers you privacy and relaxation with gorgeous sunset views each evening. The Roost is only a hours drive away from Yosemite valley making it an ideal location, compared to the motels, hotels and camping sites closer to the valley, they simply can’t compete against this holiday home. We simply loved our stay here and wish we could have stayed here longer, we would recommend this house to anyone wishing to visit Yosemite..

We had a short stay but it was just perfect. Easy location for Yosemite entrance. Quiet but not too remote. The property was well maintained with wonderful amenities. Peaceful and relaxing home

We stayed at sunset roost while visiting Yosemite and it was beautiful and peaceful there! The views were gorgeous, the house was well maintained and the outdoor setting and hot tub were perfect for the summer nights after a day exploring Yosemite. Our host was excellent with communication and very organized! Their hospitality was wonderful. We highly recommend and hope to stay there again in the future!

Midline’s vacation

We had a great time staying at the roost. About an hour drive to Yosemite and we went two days. Plenty of wild turkeys and deer on the property. The hot tub was perfect. I would definitely stay there again Chuck.

Fantastic stay

This house was wonderful!! Morning coffee on the deck, evenings in the hot tub … it doesn’t get any better. We found the house to have anything and everything … it was so well stocked, comfortable and spacious. The location was good for our treks to Yosemite (about 45 minutes away) and the town of Mariposa was close for restaurant choices or needed groceries. Tracy was prompt and attentive with communication and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
