“When checking in. Hotel staff greeted with a friendly smile. Front desk Rianna checked us in. Explain, the hotel stay and its amenities to us. Checked in room, room had a view of the seawall. It was beautiful and room was clean. Our stay was amazing! We will be back.”

“The room was clean but the A/c was on the fritz it would either be extremely cold or extremely hot. The facilities were overall clean. The complimentary breakfast was very good. They had a wide selection of food for the kids and everything in the food section was clean.”

“Room not very clean. We found hair and obvious dust on the floor when we entering the room after checkin. We asked for frontdesk and then cleaned again. THen when we ate breakfast at lobby, there's no service people until at least ten mins after we sit there. But the breakfast taste good. We ordered a dish with avocado and a dish with fruits stuff. I like them, but fogive me cannot remember their names.”

I chose not to complain because we had already paid a significant amount for the room, waited until 4:00 p.m. to check in, and didn’t want to spend more of our vacation arguing or waiting for another room or a refund. “Do not book this place. It looked like a run down motel. The only good thing about it were the staff they were very polite. For it being so close to the water you would think it would have been well maintained.”

“Don’t hesitate to book this hotel. For the price it is really nice. Location couldn’t be better- from the beach it is literally steps across the parking lot. Our room was huge and would easily have fit several blowup mattresses. We had a king size room on the 5th floor- balcony and view of the water. Everything felt updated and new. Breakfast was waffles, bagels, etc., with meat on the weekends. Walking distance to many stores and restaurants. Kroger next-door. Easy parking and comfortable bed.”

“My husband and I loved our stay at the Carr Mansion! This historical home was charming, clean, and comfortable. Joellyn was a fabulous host; she served delicious breakfast and offered several tips/ recommendations for activities around the island. The location of the home is near to several other historical landmarks/ museums, the Strand, and the Seawall. We highly recommend booking a stay at the Carr Mansion for a relaxing trip with a home-like feel that typical hotels just can’t match. We will……
