The room was generally nice. However, upon arrival, the room temp read 76 degrees so I turned down the desired AC temp to the 60's, but the room never cooled off. The air was blowing, but not cool, nor effective. We told a maintenance guy and he took down our room #, but nothing changed. We had to open all the windows all weekend to get some relief, but since we were facing the pool and the sunrise, that Was very loud and bright. The other issues were that the arched window in the sitting room didn't have any coverings, so the sun came streaming in on the face of the person using the pull out couch first thing in the morning...it was extremely bright. The queen pull out only provided one pillow, and our master bed was made up with the sheet on top of the blanket (between the blanket and comforter), so we had to tear down the bed and remake it before using. The bathroom had a faint mildew or sewer smell as well, and the tub had some large dirt particles in it upon arrival. The code to access the room was 6 completely unrelated numbers long, so we had to pull out our phones every time we wanted to access since it was slightly difficult to memorize. The room layout was great, kitchen and table were awesome, and the restaurant was delicious. However, since we had so many little maintenance and quality control issues, it would have been nice to have had a phone we could have called reception for help, extra pillows, etc...but there wasn't anything in the room, and the lobby of the villas didn't have a receptionist, so if we needed anything, we had to walk or drive around to the main resort. Overall, our unit was not well-maintained nor very customer-friendly. The quality control was poor for how much we paid for the room. It had so much potential, but I wasn't too impressed.
