Hi James. Just a quick note to thank you for your business and for choosing us and for taking the time to share your thoughts. As for the only concern you expressed, we have 2 cats who do not have "full run"...I am the owner, and we have allowed them limited run in the lobby of the hotel, which the breakfast room is connected to. We are VERY careful and mindful (see all other reviews) of cleanliness and do not push our cats on anyone, but if you look at the reviews, guests by and large love our cats. In this instance, my staff remembers she had the door to the breakfast room held open as breakfast was closing for the day, she was cleaning and she thought everyone was gone...she had the door held open so she could hears guests in the lobby and/or the phone...this allowed 1 of the cats to curiously enter the room and you unfortunately walked in at that time. I apologize for that, but the staff have to be able to clean the room simultaneously monitoring the desk...during COVID, we contemplated (and many hotels actually did) closing breakfast altogether, but we thought it important to keep it for our guests...but we cannot have more than 1 person monitoring it as it would prove too costly and we could not do it. So again, we are sorry...but it is easy to notice that is the only thing you were concerned about, so we are assuming, as with all of our other guests, that our customer service, cleanliness, amenities, safety, parking etc, were all top of the line per usual or I am certain you would have mentioned something...so truly, aside from the cat in the breakfast room, there were no other issues and so we are very glad that you enjoyed your stay. We will look forward to serving you again and finding more ways to correct and make things better for you!

As you have seen, we are the most highly rated hotel anywhere close to here and we work very hard at that. Depending on how your reservation was made, there are many online entities that add into the pricing, necessarily so, as some of their "take" is substantial. But the current economy has driven everything up, and between labor, supplies, etc, we are no different. We DO offer MANY ammenities, aside from being most highly recommended in the area, cleanest, friendliest, most helpful as well as FREE WiFi, continental breakfast (much more than that) Free parking, dry sauna, indoor heated pool and more! Thanks again and we look forward to seeing and serving you again!

Hi Amanda: Firstly, thank you for choosing us. I am sorry to hear of your version of your experience. It is disappointing to me and our staff and it is in such sharp contrast to all of these other reviews. As ALL of these other reviews indicate, our cleanliness is second to none. Our staff indicate you went to the room, investigated it heavily pulling sheets etc off, then came to desk an hour later asking to move to first floor and were upset we could not...because you had already been in the room and made it unsellable to anyone else. This is reasonable and would be the response from any hotel. By all indications, you are really upset about the price point, which varies by how you made the reservation, but there are costs you could not understand involved, not the least of which that our area generates the most electricity in the state, ships it to the grid, but since we are so far from the grid, we pay extra to get it back. Add to that the cost of labor and expenses skyrocketing and costing more to get to our remote location and finding and paying great staff to uphold our high standards...well, it costs money to be here and offer you by far the most highly rated hotel...(and deservedly so) in the area! We are sorry you were disappointed though it seems more a cost issue. I should also mention, not only do we offer and receive great compliments on our property for cleanliness and friendliness as all of these other reviews attest to, we offer everything one could want including free parking, free wifi, free (greater than) continental breakfast, indoor heated pool, dry sauna and more! Also, It is interesting you chose to spend a 2nd night with us via a 2nd intentional reservation. We would love the opportunity to serve you and improve your experience, to be more in line with the hundreds of others who have given us such high marks!
