We had such a wonderful stay here, particularly loving the stable room with its peace and quiet and enormous king bed. We arrived late and went for a walk around the Secret Garden at sunset which was completely magical .. followed by delicious food and cocktails in Harry’s Bar. I have to say the bar and serving staff were exceptional, friendly and smiling and welcoming, on a busy night they remained top class throughout. Highly recommend this hotel for a romantic break, it pressed our reset button after a stressful week.

This was one of the worst stays iv ever had. The rooms smelt so bad the pillows and duvert. The internet was non existent. I’m very disappointed in this stay as it was a Surpise for her 30th birthday. We also went to use the spa but you are not given robes or shoes you have to pay a rental charge which is absurd. The bathroom in our room was horrible. The water would clog up in the sink. I’m so disappointed and made this clear to the staff

Pros: lovely grounds; decent room. Cons: we spent 1 night (April 12th/13th 2024) there, booked dinner too. Restaurant was packed, we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated; took over an hour to be served. Several mistakes made with our order. The hotel is huge: it is difficult to navigate, and there are lots of steps, making it difficult to walk through, with luggage. At breakfast, there were no glasses or plates. Clearly, the hotel cannot cope with a large number of guests. Pros: to their credit, both the restaurant, and hotel reception gave us refunds.

The hotel staff were friendly, helpful and professional. (Nothing was too much trouble).The property facilities were excellent including clean and modern rooms and the gym, pool and spa facilities were an added bonus. Didn't get to experience the grounds because of the weather but they looked impressive. Food in Harry's bar was of a very high quality with excellent menus for lunch and dinner. Perfect location for visiting Bletchley park. Would highly recommend.

This hotel is vast and impersonal. The marketing photos don't show the enormous modern extensions that overwhelm the original house, which is now just a marketing backdrop and wedding venue side hustle. The rooms are cheaply furnished, but the beds were comfortable. The TV was pretty old and only offered terrestrial, not even I Player! Breakfast is poor, with stale pastries, cheap ingredients and hot food cooked hours/days in advance.

Looks good but a pretty poor experience.
We checked in after a long flight back from Australia, on check in we were asked if the room was a double, which we confirmed. The receptionist then asked if we meant to book a twin room with 2 single beds. We again confirmed, a double as we had booked. It wasn’t the best start after getting engaged 2 days earlier and wanting a break away with my partner. We booked our evening meal and the receptionist gave us a range of times. She then called our room and told us the time she had told us we couldn’t have. When we went for dinner, the room was so cold and people actually had coats on. We had to go back to our room for sweaters. We then went for breakfast the next morning, which we had booked and paid upon check in. Which we were then told we were room only and didn’t have a booking for breakfast. To cap it off, we used the spa and the sauna was freezing cold. We asked the staff member if it was broken which she said it wasn’t and she would sort it out……needless to say, it never got sorted. Overall the hotel looks great but the service is lacking. The receptionist could do with some equality and diversity training also.

Spa is tiny and unclean, with mixed changing rooms. Bedrooms are tiny and not soundproofed - could hear everything next door were doing. Charge £10 an hour for late checkout even though the room was not booked after us. Hotel is 20 mins from the town and cabs were very reluctant to pick us up via Uber.

Hotel was very nice inside, shame that the drive up to the manor house isnt the entrance you imagine. This is off to the side next to what looks like the service entrance to a commercial property. Once inside however it looks very nice. The staff were so helpful and made my 9 year olds birthday with the small touches of a card and sign in her room and a special desert at dinner. Special mention to Abi on reception for arranging those and moving our rooms closer so the youngest could be independent but not get lost in the maze of corridors. The team in harrys were exceptional in remembering my daughters name and that it was her birthday after bumping into her much earlier on in the day. It was a shame that there was such a delay between us arriving and our order taken and then again between starters and mains. The manager couldn't of been better in dealing with it though. The standard double room was very small and the bed seemed much smaller than a double, shame given the cost for the cheapest room. A premier inn or travel lodge offer more space. Id just of expected a little more from an independent hotel over the budget chains. Overall though it was a great stay and along with the feel of the place inside the staff made the stay for us.

Amazing stay, wish we had longer!
Wonderful stay. Friendly staff. Loved the secret garden and spa facilities. Visited the restaurant too which was lovely but probably not suitable for plain eaters. I spent a long time looking for the perfect spa weekend with a nice enough bedroom, good food and a nice garden on a reasonable enough budget. This was just perfect.

It was a nice hotel at the end of a long drive it was a welcome site seeing the big house in a picturesque element. The staff were polite and helpful. Even remember les me from a short phone call. The tellys need updating the channels as some of the free view channels I have at home weee not on there. Also no air con in the rooms I was there when it was 30 degrees outside and was a bit too hot even with the doors open it was too hot. That said I would go back as it was a lovely place to stay. Just not when it is too hot though.
