The house is beautiful & everything seems new. It had everything we needed. We cooked several meals. We enjoyed fishing for trout in the river (and caught several!) and relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings. We did the 6 mile kayak trip & my kids thought it was fun being able to make a quick stop by the cabin for a snack! It is a bit steep/slick getting to the river from the house.
We were fortunate enough to be the first to stay at this property which slightly scared us with no reviews but the risk paid off. From the time we walked in the door it was fantastic. We enjoyed everything this cabin offered from family games, fishing in the river (no luck but out teen son had fun trying) both he and our 9 year old daughter swam the river when the dam was closed and loved it. Making all of our meals with that view of the river was fantastic. Nightly walks to see the deer, groundhogs and fireflies before sitting by the fire made this mountain get away ideal. The home is beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything we needed. Armin was fantastic with communication and made our stay perfect. Ideally we needed a 3rd bed for our family of 4 but we booked last min over Father’s Day weekend and this ended up worked just fine for us. We absolutely loved the finishes, throw blankets, candles and very comfortable beds. We will absolutely stay again and share with others. Thank you for sharing your home.
We had a great trip. Host was very responsive and friendly. This cabin is exactly has described.Beautifully decorated. Convenient to all we wanted to do. All the amenities you could want. My first rental that I just wanted to cozy up on the sofa with a fire and look out at the water. We will be back.
Very good location, nice decor , very clean and cozy , highly recommended if you visit the area, only need curtains on the bedroom window facing the river
beautiful cabin - tastefully decorated - kitchen well stocked with nice glasses/plates/ silverware etc So relaxing sitting on the deck overlooking the river. Very close to Blue Ridge and all the things to do there. Host very fast in responding to questions Totally recommend!
Fabulous Get-Away! The cabin was the perfect tranquil setting for our 5 day get-away. We loved sitting in the back deck hanging right over the Taccoa River. The place is beautifully decorated, has everything you would need, and is close to all activities in Blue Ridge. Armin, our host, was available to answer any questions we had. Would definitely rent this cabin again. Enjoy!
Amazing atmosphere inside and out...great attention to detail, very accommodating. Hot tub and firepit were highlights along with the full moon rising over the river. Fishing was the only struggle... complicated by periods of rain and running of the generators for the dam.
Amazing place! Don’t hesitate. Just book it!! River location like no other. We will be back! Awesome owner also. Enjoyed watching kayaks tubers & fishermen cruising by.
This cabin was absolutely gorgeous! We arrived with soft music playing and a fireplace on the tv which welcomed us perfectly! It’s nicely stocked with everything you will need for a relaxing getaway! The fishing was a huge hit, especially directly off the back porch, we caught several each day! We enjoyed the sunset views from the hot tub each night, and snuggled up in one of the glorious blankets provided in the living room to watch the river flow by! The BEDS, wow! They were so so very comfortable! I highly recommend this cabin!
We just spent 5 days in this little slice of heaven right on the river, and it was exactly what we needed to relax and decompress. The owner, Armin, went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! As soon as we walked in, we knew the pictures didn’t do it justice. The cabin is spotless, modern, and beautifully decorated, while still keeping that warm, cozy cabin feel. The attention to detail—from high-quality pots, pans, and kitchenware to super comfortable mattresses—made such a difference. We even arrived to soft jazz playing, which set the perfect tone. The highlight was the stunning living area surrounded by windows with breathtaking river views—so close it felt like we were on a houseboat. Downtown Blue Ridge is just 10 minutes away, and we loved visiting Mercier Orchards multiple times. If you’re looking for a beautiful, off-the-beaten-path getaway with peaceful, healing surroundings, this is your place. We left refreshed, grateful, and already planning our return.
We had a wonderful experience! We were close to all of the activities in the area, and had a beautiful view to enjoy while at the cabin. We enjoyed bird-watching, relaxing in the hot tub, and making snores around the fire. Very quiet and peaceful!
