We had the best time!!

This home and property was absolutely beautiful! It was a much needed, spur of the moment, getaway. We could not have asked for a better place. Clean home, peaceful atmosphere, and wonderful place! Cabin was well stocked!

Perfect!

This place is a perfect slice of paradise! My husband, two teenage boys, and I had the best time! Such a wonderful getaway complete with relaxation! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend an entire week. This makes the 2nd time we have stayed here and definitely will not be the last! We will be back.

The River cabin

We loved everything about our stay here and are already looking at when we can come back. The cabin itself was well stocked and clean and comfortable. Mornings sitting on the dock can’t be beat. And the hot tub was perfect. Loved our stay here!!

Perfect Girls Trip Weekend!

This cabin had it all ! Perfect river view , spacious bedrooms and super comfortable bedding . The kitchen was equipped with all of the amenities needed ! Everything was clean and worked probably. The fire pit area was such treat ! I would highly recommend and stay here again !

Great location on the river

Really nice location right on the river. We were able to fish all weekend. The fire pit seating area was awesome for the evenings. And the hot tub was clean and in good working order. Glad to be within 20 minutes of town too. The neighbors dog, the one with the rebel flag, was a little bit of a nuisance. They let it run free and though she was sweet, she wanted a lot of attention and bits of unattended food. We’d gladly stay again though.

Neat cabin with big front yard

The cabin had everything we needed for cooking. Everything was pretty clean and in working order. The river is really pretty and rises when they open the dam. The beds were comfortable. The back yard is great with a fire pit and deck over the water. The front yard was big and had tons of room for the kids to play. Over all a great place and would definitely stay again.

On the river

GreAt views of the river. ! Hot tub right off the porch for another great view !cabin is a little older but has everything you need it snowed & our heat worked good & used the fireplace too ! The fire 🔥 pit & grill were great for cook outs & s’mores..the only problem was the garbage was not picked up prior to us coming & therefore it was a little of an eyesore .

Had a great time!

Loved the fishing. This is a perfect place to disconnect. In the evening the deer would literally come right up to the cabin to graze. The cabin itself could use some improvements. Although it has two bathrooms there’s only one shower and it’s quite small. The back porch could definitely use a screen. We were often swatting gnats Inside the cabin. The sliding door in the back is being secured by a pipe. Other than that we had a really great time.

Property Management

The property was beautiful and the river was amazing. It was very convenient to Blue Ridge and Ellijay. Our stay was pleasant, but there were major issues with property management that should have been dealt with in a checklist prior to our arrival. Two hours before check-in, the property manager called and said that the hot tub wasn't working and no one could come to fix it. We accepted this issue and were offered a "hot tub fee" refund since there were no other properties to relocate to and cancelling a long awaited, much needed anniversary vacation two hours before it was to even begin was not an option. Upon arriving at the property and settling in, we spent the good part of two hours trying to get the Live TV/Satellite to work. It kept reading “Acquiring Signal.” We could not watch any local sports/news; Atlanta Braves games, GA Tech's first game of the season, local news/weather, etc. (which is a major thing for our household). On-demand/DVR television doesn't work for us as we watch live TV. When the PM was called about the issue, he stated to restart the system (which we had already done several times trying to trouble shoot ourselves being technologically capable) and his reply was that someone would have to be home/there in order for the satellite provider to assess the situation. We didn’t come on vacation to handle household issues with the property. This long weekend/anniversary getaway was turning out to be a great disappointment and hassle. We woke up each morning to an infestation of ants that covered a large part of the kitchen counters and all over our food (packaged, not left out from the night before). The stopper/plunger for the jacuzzi tub upstairs in the Master Loft bedroom wasn't functioning, so water would not fill the tub in order for it to be utilized. Upon checking out, I contacted the PM again in search of the owner’s email so as to not have to leave a negative review and inform them of some maintenance issues that could have been preventatively avoided, but was again diverted stating, “The Vacasa team will address all concerns for the property.” I don’t believe that it is too much to ask for the amount of money that was paid for the listed amenities of the property to be fully accessible. I shouldn’t be having to call and spend large periods of time on the phone or texting informing about the multitude of issues that were encountered. The property receives 4 stars. Property Mgt- 1

Great little cabin right on the river

This is a nice three-bedroom property with direct river access just 20 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. We went for Spring Break, and it was perfect for my mom and me and two young children, who loved the bunk bed room. The space was clean and well-kept, and there's a hot tub and a dock outside. My only big recommendation would be to know where you're going before you get there after dark because it's down a gravel road with limited cell service and to come with all your supplies loaded up in your car as the house is equipped with salt and that's it (no coffee or other cooking staples). And while the closest grocery store is just 15 minutes away, you're not going to want to make that drive multiple times. But other than that, we had a great stay and would book this place again!

Great Cabin

Photos are really good

Beautiful location and spacious yard. This is a property that you choose for the location. Some of the furniture in the photos have changed. The hot tub was disappointing. The top was in terrible shape and the hot tub smelled musty. The linens were average. For the most part the place was clean.

The cabin was clean and the location on the river was perfect. There were a couple of issues however: 1. The drain plug in the bathtub would not hold so we were unable to take a bath, only a shower. 2. The garbage from the previous renters was never picked up so we had limited space to place our trash. 3. One of the utensil drawers in the kitchen was jammed and wouldn't open so we unable to access this. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay in this cabin and we would stay there again.

The River Cabin review

Property was not spotless but not dirty either. Cobwebs and tons of dust above the living room TV. Stainless refrigerator looked like it was cleaned with a greasy rag. Depart instructions said to strip sheets off the bed and start a load of towels. Why did I pay a cleaning fee? Master bedroom had no closet and no hanging space of any kind. Good location. Saw deer on the property two different times. Overall just won't go back.

Fantastic river location

The location is fantastic, right on the Toccoa River. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there, taking advantage of the fishing, hot tub and firepit. The only reason that I didn't give it 5 stars is that it only has one shower, which is a little small, and the heat in the cabin rises making the upstairs bedroom uncomfortably hot. I would still recommend it for an enjoyable place to get away and relax.
