Staff is very nice and helpful; they make you feel welcome. The only thing I did not like was the room. It looked very different from the pictures; it was really small and felt old. I kept wondering how they got a 4-star rating. We booked another hotel later on the week and that one totally changed my first impression of Hanoi's hotel business (thank God!). My opinion is that the rating is not aligned with what you actually get when you stay in this hotel.

We had an amazing stay at a peridot. staff was welcoming and friendly. only knock was how the showers were built, which allowed for very wet bathroom floors. Otherwise would recommend for anyone visiting Old Quarters to consider staying here. Also splurge a little to get the deluxe room so that you have a window.

We enjoyed our stay at Signature hotel, we used it as our home base as we explored Vietnam and the staff helped with arranging travel. They were helpful in getting our laundry done quickly. This is right in old town but close enough to get to tours who cannot pick you up in old town. The breakfast was good and many options. I think it might be under renovations but it is totally acceptable for a standard room- it is a pretty small room.

The staff at Grand Hotel du Lac is wonderful, Extremely helpful and caring. Truly a cut above many of the other hotel I have stayed in. And beyond the high standard of other luxury Vietnamese hotels. The staff at breakfast, the restaurant, and the rooftop bar were going beyond anything to make my stay comfortable. The front desk and support staff were continuously inquisitive whether there was something they could help me with. I will most certainly be back.
