Very disappointed with the lack of customer service
I’ve stayed at Moxy Uptown Minneapolis several times and always had great experiences — the hotel is stylish and modern. However, this last visit was extremely disappointing and frustrating.
After my stay, I noticed a $100 charge on my bank account. I assumed it was a security deposit and waited a few days, expecting it to be refunded. A full week passed and the charge remained. I contacted the hotel, and they told me they would look into it and get back to me the next day with an explanation. That never happened.
I was patient and gave them the benefit of the doubt. But after more than two weeks since my initial call, no one ever followed up. I called again and was told a manager would contact me the following day. I clearly explained this had already happened before and kindly asked that someone actually call me this time. Again, no one did.
After waiting 3–4 more days, I called yet again — and without any real explanation, they simply told me the money would be refunded the next day. I truly hope that’s the case, but as of now, I’m deeply disappointed.
This isn’t just about the money — it’s about the complete lack of follow-through, accountability, and basic customer service. My situation was ignored for over two weeks, and no one took it seriously.
Sadly, I won’t be staying at this hotel again
