The Island of Courage and Sorrow (also known as the Island of Tears, a small footbridge leads from the Trinity to the Island of Tears, a memorial commemorating Soviet soldiers from Belarus who died in the decade-long war with Afghanistan between 1979 and 1989. "It was a nice stay overall. Hotel location is perfect for all tourist activities. The city center is clean, walkable, full of sightseeing spots, restaurants, and stores. The room was spacious and had a lot of light. TV had access to YouTube which is convenient. We really appreciate the front desk team, that helped us organize the smooth arrival and welcomed us at the property. The only hiccup was the food - we ordered late lunch and the dishes weren’t very fresh. Well, I’m sure it was merely a misunderstanding. Thank you for the pleasant stay! "
