Great family vacation!

Our family of 23 loved our stay at Beach Funatics! The house is large enough for our group & with four kitchens there was plenty of refrigerator space! The location is fantastic, the beach beautiful & the pool was very refreshing. We are already booked for next year!

It’s spacious and fun, a little worn down, but still great. Since it was late in the year, some things didn’t work but it made very little difference. The pool and the location to the beach were perfect.

Prime Location

This is a great property for large families. Lots of bedrooms (many bunkbeds), bathrooms, kitchen options. Heated pool was awesome! Only issue we had at check-in was incorrected key code was provided on check-in instructions. Beach service was included. Not for ADA - many steps inside and out.

The house definitely needs some upkeep. It was not stated that the heated pool was only heated if u pay extra money. For the cost it should have been heated. The pool backfilled with leaves, debris, and nastiness because it wasnt filtering correctly. Ice maker didn't work on 1 side. A chip out of the glass table that is very sharp. They need to update all the pictures as they r not true pictures!!

Ladies Retreat 2020

Loved how big it was that fit us all and not even crowded. The only downside was we paid for a heated pool the pool was even heated when we got there. We rented it from Sat-Sat. Its crazy that they would charge us 600 extra just to get the pool heated a day before we got there. The price of it is ridiculous. When you pay for a heated pool, it should be heated and warm when we get there and its should automatically include the night bedore since it takes 24 hrs for the pool to be heated. We shouldnt need to pay it that extra day. Here comes check in and it was a Saturday, i notice the pool was still very cold. We didnt even get there until like 5-6pm so I message FiveStar back and no response at all. I decided to wait until Sunday.. here come sunday late afternoon there no heat. Decided to call them they answer and said they cant do anything until Monday since its the weekend. As a business owner you know that no one works on the weekends you shoulda make sure the pool is heated for us on Saturday! Monday came around the pool guy told us something chewed up the wire he fixed that, on Tuesday we got a nice warm pool! Until Thursday the pool died again.

Family Vacation

There were 19 of us ranging in age from 2-65. We rented both sides of the home. There is a huge bunk room on the bottom floor, both sides. The house is very roomy and comfortable for a large number of people. Two huge kitchens on the 2nd level which is also were the living spaces were located. Each side had a smaller kitchen in the lower level which came in very handy for drinks and snacks while hanging at the pool. All bedrooms are roomy and the beds were comfortable, had nice sheets, and plenty of towels. The pool area was large with plenty of seating and room for kids to play. Great beach access and location. We enjoyed our stay to say the least. There were some deferred maintenance items in the home but overall it was nice. For the price you pay these should not be issues. Side A- door pool alarm was loose and would not shut off at times. Oven & stove didn’t work the greatest, took forever to heat up, needs replaced. The gate on the balcony steps didn’t latch properly, needs fixed. Ceiling above bunk was missing a chunk of drywall.Side B-a burner in the stove did not work.Fridge in lower level, water inside and did not cool properly. On steps from balcony, a rod is missing and space is big enough to fit through. Safety issue. Some TV worked, not all. Remotes missing batteries. Outside- black BBQ pit, the connector for propane tank was bad, leaked, could not use. Needs replaced. The cover to the pit is ripped. Balcony rail was loose, not solid/secure.
The rail on side B steps from the balcony is missing a rod and a child easily fits through. This really needs to be fixed.

Perfect beach house for a large group!

6 families stayed here on our small business 'work trip'. The house was clean, comfortable, decorated nicely and had almost everything we needed in the 2 kitchens. The units join through a large doorway on the middle floor. Pool was warm, sparkling and wonderful. Beach was perfect. Beds were comfortable. Don't let the outdated outside appearance distract you.... this is a super nice vacation place!

I arranged this trip for all 6 of our children and 14 grandchildren Overall the house was very good, a bit old but very nice Only negative was the listing said we were a private beach - not accurate - we worked around it but that part was wrong The swimming pool and pool table were big hits with the kids Location in Destin was grest

Terrible on cleanliness

This property could be good. The issue is the cleanliness of the property and the fact that there are major items in the property that simply do not work. We rented both the A and B side. The stove downstairs does not work. Multiple outlets do not work. The overall condition of the property is deteriorating. The view and access to the beach are spectacular but the property itself is not a place my family and I would ever stay again.

Great beachfront for families

The was property was perfect for our very large family. It was very conveniently close to the beach and had all of the things we needed. The amenities were perfect but the place wasn’t handicap accessible and could have used a ramp on the first floor. Other than that we absolutely loved it! It as clean and beautiful!
