I stayed at the La Quinta Inn in Mission and was extremely disappointed with how management handled a serious issue. One of the days we stayed, There was a gas leak at the hotel around 3 a.m., but no one bothered to inform the guests. Their excuse was that it happened during the night, which I find unacceptable considering it was a safety issue.
As a result, there was no hot water for at least two days. I left on Sunday, and the problem still hadn’t been resolved—they said they were waiting on the city, but guests were left without basic services. I attempted to request a refund or compensation for the affected nights, but my request was partially ignored.
The front desk staff showed very little attention or care. On the other hand, the housekeeping team was excellent—very organized, helpful, and respectful. Unfortunately, it appears that management and higher-level staff are failing to take responsibility or respond to guest concerns.
Overall, a disappointing experience that I would not expect from a hotel under the La Quinta brand.
