Quaint Retro Ash Cove Cottage

"This was my first time in Maine and the cottage was perfect for our trip. I met a friend there for the week & we loved our time in Harpswell at the cottage. Chuck and Lynne were accommodating, happy to show us how light switches worked inside the home, and brought us a loaf of apple bread upon our arrival. They even popped over one evening to offer us tomatoes from their garden, which was perfect for the dinner we made that evening. The cottage was quaint and cozy. The dimmable lighting in the living room was an especially nice touch on our nights of relaxing. The back porch was a perfect place to have a nightcap and read a book with the fresh Maine air coming through the windows. The cottage was stocked with books, games, brochures on Maine activities, and all the supplies we needed for cooking our own meals. The beds were comfortable. I especially loved the bed up in the loft. I definitely recommend staying in this cottage if you take a trip to Maine. Thank you, Chuck and Lynne, for making our stay memorable."

"This rental was fantastic! My wife and I were the first renters in the house. Everything was very clean and spotless. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we could possibly need. The house is in a small neighborhood at the end of a dirt road. The neighbors were all quiet, and the few that we spoke to were very nice and even gave us some fishing and kayak spots to go to. There is a small, private rocky beach accessible by a fairly steep set of stairs. We spent a ton of time down on the beach and walking around at low tide. 95% of the time, we were the only ones on the entire beach. The stairs were a bit steep to carry a kayak down, but there is a neighborhood beach access less than a minutes walk from the house, we carried our kayaks down and kayaked around from there, checking out a few of the islands across the bay. We had gorgeous sunsets every night right from the living room or down at the beach. We've rented houses on Harpswell for almost 10 years now, this rental is a hidden gem. We'd highly recommend it and would stay here again."

"We were glad our two adult children could not come; the pull out beds would have been fine for children, but not private enough for adults.Watching the birds on the inlet and the sunsets was a treat. Harpswell has several great hiking trails."

"If you want peace and tranquility, this is your plans for stay. The house sets on the water with amazing sunsets and you may even see dolphins and seal throughout the day along with the lobster boats. This may not be a modern home, but if you want the New England rustic feel with a view, this is the place for you. Thank you for a great week, we will definitely return."
