Not all is as it seems or you might expect at Apartmentos Babalu. Air conditioning is not included. Fans are not included. Umbrellas on the patio are not included. The 'pool bar' advertised has been derelict for 3 years. The 'shop' advertised has been derelict for 3 years. You have to pay extra to rent a portable air conditioning unit, or otherwise pay extra to rent a fan. You have to pay extra to rent an umbrella for the balcony of your apartment. I booked through Expedia and the information about the hotel still states 'Bar' and 'Grocery/convenience store'. This is false. I've included some screenshots of the advert, as it still is today. Checking with other online booking operators, I do notice the information has been updated there, so I will be worried about booking through Expedia in future, if information is not up to date on their site. The staff explained that the pool bar has been closed because of and since 'because of covid'. The area has an incredible amount of other hotels, I dare say all with pool bars, despite covid. The apartments have no air conditioning. A portable unit can be hired for EUR 15 per day. That's an incredible amount of money for something which is really needed in such a hot place. We had to hire a fan, and this cost around £40 for 2 weeks! I realised after that I could have purchased the same fan for about £20, in one of the nearby shops, and could have just left it in the apartment after my stay, while still being in pocket.

Der var reklameret med at stedet rådede over gratis parkering, det var ikke tilfældet. Ligesom at det gratis wifi ikke fandtes og Pool området kun var åbent fra 11 - 14 og igen 15 - 17 hvor der ikke længere var sol på området. Poolbaren var lukket (Ok pga Covid)

New Normal in Spain

we have stayed at these apartments for years now! The Staff are very helpful and attentive. Covid has caused problems such as reduced hours for reception and the pool bar and shop are now closed. I must stress they were not run by the hotel but by a separate company who felt they did not have enough guests to justify continuing. This is common at present through out the island! The pool is closed between 2pm and 3pm to allow for additional cleaning and as per Spanish Govt guidelines mask must be worn at all time even when walking in the street. Overall we were very happy with the way the apartments were run and are looking to book up for next year. There is unfortunatly no sunbeds at the poolside but they put loungers on the balcony of the room instead!

Great apartment with a large balcony and great views. The room was cleaned regularly and fresh towels every day. The pool bar was good value for money providing a good range of food.

Helt greit hotell. Flott beliggenhet, ikke særlig utsikt når man har rom i de nederste etasjene. Sikkert fint i 4., 5. og 6. Etasje. Ikke gode senger. Renholdet bare sånn passe. Mange landtidsboende. Fint bassengområde. Nært europasentret.
