“Elvira and Katerina were one of the highlights, just after the beautiful surroundings and installations. We reached the hotel by rental car from Porto, 1 hour and 40 minutes. The hotel is on top of a hill full of vineyards, and what a beautiful view of the river the hotel has. In the morning breakfast is served beautifully. You can buy wine from the Quinta by glass or bottle, good quality. The hotel has no restaurant so you have to go to town for lunch and dinner. Room was immaculate,……

“We are a family of 5 with 3 kids under 12. We visited in March and it was very quiet/serene. Portovella has a beautiful view of the Douro. Riverside walk is just several steps down a hill. Photos don’t do it justice because it is so breathtaking in person. The comfort suite was the perfect size with 2 bathroom ensuites and a powder room. View from the suite was incredible. Just plan ahead if you’re staying on a Sunday as many restaurants were closed but we found a gem in Cinfaes - Sabores e……
