Smith Mountain Lake House

Very clean home, well stocked kitchen. Game room lots of fun for children. Would have liked access to a canoe, kayak or boat at the property.

Great house for 2 families to share

Stayed here in Nov for T-giving. We had two families with 4 kids total. The basement was awesome and the kids loved it. Nice big table for eating together. Huge bedrooms with lots of space for everyone. Looks like it would be even better in the summer.

A great getaway

The house was great, beautifully clean and had lots of great amenities. The host was fantastic and very quick to reply to messages. Check in/out was super easy. The only thing I think should be listed on the property listing is the path down to the dock is SUPER steep, even somewhat dangerous when wet. Overall we had a great stay and would book this property again.

Short Wedding Stay

Our large family needed a home to house us for one night while we attended a nearby family wedding. This place was perfect for this stay, plenty of room fully stocked kitchen, many bathrooms and many beds. While we did not have time to enjoy all the amenities, it looked like there were some great spots to hang out, fish, fire pit, boat and swim. Our hosts were extremely accommodating and easy to work with and our stay was very pleasant. Thank you Luca for your help. The Young family

Lovely area, disappointing accommodations.

The house is clean and spacious.the downstairs play room was great! And porch nice too. Very disappointed with the distance and very long, very steep path to get to the dock. We couldn’t really use the dock and never used the advertised cabana due to how far it is from house and the trek up and down the aforementioned path to get there. Also disappointed that we could never get the internet to work to use the various tvs in house. There is no cable so you need to link to your streaming services but we were never able to get it to work due to locked internet. The upstairs bedrooms /bathroom were were hot and the portable a/c units helped but were really noisy when trying to sleep. The hosts were very responsive to questions though. And SML is a lovely area.

New Years Vacation

We enjoyed our stay overall, but there are a few things future guests should be aware of. The home is situated on a ravine with a very steep hill, which may be challenging for some. While the space itself was comfortable, we did encounter some issues with things not working as expected. With a few improvements, this could be an even better stay.
