Our stay at the hotel was unfortunately not what we expected. While the staff was polite and helpful, several aspects of the experience were disappointing. The photos online gave the impression of a clean, modern, and well-maintained property, but in reality, the hotel felt outdated and was not as clean as advertised.
The food served throughout the week was a major issue. It was consistently very spicy, with little to no variety, making it difficult to enjoy meals, especially for those with dietary sensitivities or children. At the Jamaican Grill there were day you hade to wait in line for more than 30 min for the food to be served.
One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was for beach access, but the beach was poorly maintained and covered in seaweed growing in the sea floor which made it unpleasant to use. It did not match the expectations set by the promotional materials. The pools where big but we didn’t spend all that money to stay in the pool. Overall, the experience did not reflect the standards we anticipated for the price paid.
While we appreciated the staff's efforts, significant improvements in cleanliness, food options, and beach maintenance are needed. If a hotel markets itself as a 5-star destination, every detail-from cleanliness to food to beach quality-should reflect that standard. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case during our visit.
