Lakeside Lodge with Studio Apartment

This gracious lodge style home, presented by StayBettr Vacation Rentals, makes you feel interconnected with nature both indoors and out. The lower level den even features a garage door style wall that opens up to the outdoor firepit and hot tub. The property boasts a flat shoreline at one of the widest points on Swinging Bridge Lake.  Inside you'll find stylish open concept living spaces with plenty of room for your group to spread out across the two levels and a separate loft studio apartment.  The property also includes access to 240V fast EV charging.

Guest Access:



You will have access to the main house and outdoor areas including the dock, and the studio apartment above the garage. The loft apartment is located over the garage and accessed from inside the home. Guests with electric vehicles can connect to the 240V EV charger. 



Guests will not have access to the garage.

StayBettr Vacation Rentals manages this property remotely, but we have a local contact who can assist with any issues that may arise during your stay.



The Neighborhood:



Swinging Bridge Reservoir is the largest largest lake in the Sullivan Catskills, and one of the few that allows motor boats. You'll feel removed from the city, but still within 20 minutes of groceries and things to do. The neighborhood is a mix of seasonal homes and year round residents. A public boat launch is nearby, and just around the corner are two full services marinas--Starlight and Swinging Bridge Marinas.



Getting Around:



We recommend having car for your stay. Taxis are available, but ride sharing services are more sparse. Rental car services are available in Monticello. Shortline Coach Bus Service provides service between New York City and Monticello as well.



Otisville and Port Jervis Metro North Stations are each approximately 30 minutes drive from the house. The trip from NY Penn Station to Otisville is about 2 hours. Train access is great if you have members of your group who need to arrive/depart at different times.



Things To Know:



You will be required to sign a rental agreement after the booking is confirmed. Full terms of the agreement are available on request. Additionally, you will be required to upload an approved government identification card or passport when you complete the rental agreement. If you have questions about either of these requirements please message us prior to booking.

Fees may apply for early check-ins, late check-outs, and additional optional services.



No more than 4 cars allowed.



The dock is not available from early November until the lake has thawed and levels stabilize in late spring.



Guests do not have access to the jet skis or boat moored on site. Boat rentals are available from the local marinas. Garage is not accessible to guests.



This home is pet free, no exceptions.

Great Lake House!

Really nice stay. No complaints. Has everything you need for a great long weekend. Super quiet and clean. Lots of room. Beds were super comfortable. A true diamond in the rough!
