Well set up for large family group, well appointed kitchen, the hosts were very easy to deal with, quick response to needs. We loved our stay here for our family reunion, it's difficult to find a space each year that can accommodate our large family so well. As a bonus- we enjoyed the waterfall and the close proximity to our niece who hosted the 4th party.

Excellent for large groups of people! So nice that each bedroom has it's own bathroom. Beautiful kitchen with everything you need. Very convenient location to get around the area. Host was very responsive and helpful.

A true piece of Montour Fall’s history. This historic house is really neat and well kept up for being over 150 yrs old. It was a perfect stay for our large family. An AC unit in each room was a plus. Great location for adventures in the Finger Lakes. Really close to Watkins Glen and surrounding attractions. The host was great and very responsive to questions, before, during, and after our stay.

The house is old and has its quirks; once you get used to them, all is well.The rooms are all huge, kitchen is well equipped, lots of seating places. View of the falls is fabulous!

perfect winter weekend

We were looking for a comfortable and convenient place to help my mom celebrate her 89th birthday. We found it here! Several common spaces for conversation, puzzles and meals, many lovely bedrooms with very comfy beds and the kitchen was massive, well fitted out, and perfect for communal meal preparation. Our host was very accommodating about arrivals and the location was perfect for poking around Watkins Glen.

Perfect house and location!

Our group of 8 women stayed at Cook Mansion for the Seneca 7 relay. The house was beautiful and perfect for our needs. We loved having the waterfall in the backyard and used the large kitchen and dining areas for breakfasts and dinners. The bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. We all agreed it was a fantastic stay and we will be back!

Destination half marathon house near Corning NY

This was a great house for 12 adults to share. The kitchen was spacious and the dining areas accommodated our group. We enjoyed the town and it was an easy drive to the bus pickup location for the half marathon. A good time was had by all!!

Finger Lakes Mansion

Cook Mansion was just perfect for our large group of 11. Beautiful old house with large bedrooms and every couple had their own attached bathroom. Huge fully stocked kitchen, two dining rooms and nice parlor were all great places to gather. Hosts were very attentive to our needs. Highly recommend the hike along the falls in nearby Watkins Glen State Park.

Family Reunion

This is our second time renting The Cook Mansion in the winter to be able to spend a great weekend w family and friends. This mansion has everything and anything you need even large tables of you want to sit and eat or play games.

We recently stayed at this lovely house with our extended family of 13, which included 6 kids (ages 8-13), 7 adults (including one senior citizen and one with mobility issues), and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.The house itself was fantastic—spacious, beautifully appointed, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Inside, there was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy each other’s company. The outdoor patio was a highlight, offering a peaceful and serene spot to unwind, with an amazing view of the waterfall that everyone loved. The private lot was a great size, giving us plenty of space for kids to play and adults to enjoy some quiet time.The location was perfect! It was close to a variety of activities that suited all ages. We were just a short drive from vineyards, hiking trails, and swimming spots, making it easy to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. It was also conveniently located near downtown Watkins Glen, grocery stores, mini golf, and more, making it easy to get anything we needed.Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventures or just a peaceful getaway, this house is in a prime location. Our family had a memorable and enjoyable stay, and we would definitely recommend it to others.

Family Reunion

We had a wonderful time! Check in was smooth and all the basics were provided. The mansion is not overly decorated so it was great with young ones. Plenty of room for us to spread out and to come together in the evenings. AND I could see the waterfall out of my bedroom window!

The inside was clean and very large. Perfect for group's. Definitely a little spooky vibe and a waterfall on the property so super unique. The outside of the property seems to be negated. Dirty, spider webs etc. Needs some love. But overall great location.

Beautiful!!

This old mansion use beautifully renovated. Every room is comfortable and spacious, the living spaces on the first floor are grand and cozy. The kitchen was the envy of all who saw it! This place was exactly what we needed. The owners are so lovely and accomodating. And if the building itself isn't enough, you can see Montour Falls from many of the rooms. You will not regret your stay!
