Vieille ville charmer

The Sous les toits apartment is a well-appointed, modern but cozy, comfortable and quiet space right in the heart of the old city of Montpellier. It is a short walk to many cafes and restaurants, with à Carrefour Exprès just a few blocks away. Negotiating the narrow circular stairs with luggage can be a challenge for older generations, but it is worth it once you get to the top. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely apartment and a great location for walking. Kind of a student zone too so there is a nightclub which is a bit noisy weekend nights. But a pair of earplugs worked ok. Clean, modern with character. Bed very comfortable and the A/C was a blessing. If you have mobility issues the stairs will be difficult. Not just three floors but narrow and twisting. A good way to work off the last pain au chocolaté.

An ideal apartment for exploring historic old Montpellier

Perfectly situated to explore the historic centre of Montpellier. Thomas was great - he gave excellent advice on where to eat and shop, helped me get the best out of google maps and made himself easily available for queries etc throughout our stay. The apartment had everything we needed for a short stay, including efficient air conditioning which was essential while we were there. It is located on the 3rd floor and accessed by a stone spiral stairway which we, as oldies, found quite a challenge after a day out in the heat. However, we had the added bonus of ending our stay fitter than when we started!
