We like that this hotel is at the heart of Central Station. Easy transportation to and from the hotel. Very walkable to shopping and restaurants.

We loved the Fairmont QE - There were so many wonderful activities in the hotel. Roselys is a fantastic restaurant. Krema is perfect for morning coffee, and the Fairmont Gold lounge is such a great treat! We will definitely stay here again. All staff, especially the concierge, were excellent and super helpful!

When you think of Fairmont, you think of an amazing hotel, with great amenities, beautiful rooms, spacious, and some luxury, unfortunately, this hotel is very outdated, the breakfast was very poor for a 5-star hotel, the room was small with a tiny bathroom, dust in the vent, poor isolation, the elevators look very dirty. Don't know how they keep those stars and the rates they change, not worth half of it.

First off the staff behind the desk were top notch, Not great to see the hotel cleaning staff smoking outside, in front, in a clearly marked no smoking zone, apparently if you 'hide' behind a column its ok, after all doesn't travel down wind. The room was mediocre at best even more so for the 'Gold' room @ over $650 per night. Cold water tap leaked all over the counter top. chips missing in the bottom of the top, large enough that one could cut their feet on them, dust in washroom. The do not disturb easily gets jammed in the door on a normal close & can in fact leaved the door wedged open. No extra blanket in the room or closet, iron was none functional due to calcification. The impression is that only a very limited inspection was done & never anything in detail, reminds me of the Oxford's "Visibly Clean" nonsense which really meant don't look because its not clean. Disappointing over all & at the price terrible.

Worst '5 Star' hotel experience we've ever had. We booked with the "gold package" but spoken down to by the check-in staff at the ground level. The front desk would not allow us to check-in using the lounge service and demanded government ID and a credit card. After this - he told us that we got the room cheap and we wont have a view. After giving us the room key - no more info about lough access, services or check out info was provided. What is more funny is that our floor no. 20 only had a couple of other guest staying that week... so your ground check-in staff thought it would be funny to downgrade our room. We often travel to many locations around the world and only stay in 5-star hotels. Fairmont / Accor won't be on that list again.

I was very disappointed, particularly considering the price of the “Gold” room. Positive: Check in was smooth. Property is very clean. Negative: I was given room 1820. Room was small, but as expected with Fairmont rooms. What was surprising was the tap and shower were always hot water - no cold water whatsoever (you need to check this out). In room telephone didn’t function correctly. Hotel seemed very short staffed - walked through lobby on numerous occasions looking for staff and nobody was there. No taxis at the taxi stand at 8pm. Bed was HORRIBLE. Both of us slept poorly - pillows were awful. I was surprised. Do yourself a favour and stay at the Sofitel!
