“We found it was cheaper to rent this cottage outside of Perth as compared to booking an apartment in town. How nice is it to wake to the lovely chirping of birds, surrounded by a fully working and active vineyard. So peaceful. Sunsets and sun rises on the deck were amazing. Being greeted by the hosts 2 beautiful dogs was a treat also. Oh and of course, just minutes away from all the local wineries. “We had the most amazing stay! The property is absolutely stunning and The Gatehouse itself was so much more than what we expected. So spacious and so well appointed. They have definitely thought of every little thing you need for a wonderful stay. They even spoilt us with cheese and biscuits and supplies on arrival. “Lovely property, very private and quiet location. Outdoor and indoor fires were stocked with wood ready to relax and enjoy with the bottle of wine provided :) A very minor suggestion would be to have a bedside lamp rather than relying on main lights, and a cheese knife would be fab! Overall we had a very enjoyable night away :) ”

The cottage was comfortable and clean - a few minor maintenance matters require attention noting the age of the cottage. This did not impact our enjoyment of the cottage. Hosts were responsive and helpful.”

I also visited the York Festival during my stay. The chalet had everything I needed, even a spa! Close to Mundaring shops for essentials and a morning coffee or breakfast at the Lazy Corner Cafe.
