“Sadly we never got to Acorn Lodge due to flooding. Sykes recommended contacting the owner via Hotels.com app for advice on access but they never replied. The owner is uncontactable, the only number they give is Sykes in Chester. Sykes direct you to a complaint form. No customer care from either Sykes or Acorn lodge.”

“The property did have most of the things that we required, even though it was a bit basic, in my opinion it could have been a bit more cosy and comfortable. The property was not as clean as it possibly should have been (considering we received a email requesting that we leave it 'clean and tidy, as we found it', but the cobwebs had been there for a while. With that said, we still had a good stay and enjoyed our visit, be aware that it is a little remote.”
