The hotel has a very convenient location right off the highway, which makes it a good option for travelers passing through. The property itself was generally clean and well maintained. However, we were disappointed with the condition of the bedding. The sheets had noticeable yellow stains, and the fitted sheet even had black stains. This was the first time in all of our travels that we encountered bedding in such condition. Breakfast was another surprising experience. For the first time ever in a hotel, we were told, “Unfortunately, we have run out of spoons.” This was quite unexpected and disappointing. Overall, while the location is convenient and the hotel appears clean at first glance, attention to basic details like bedding quality and breakfast service would greatly improve the guest experience.

I booked a room at Sonesta Essential Morgantown 3 days before arrival to visit my college student. Upon checking in, I was told they overbooked. I could be placed in another Sonesta Hotel 25 miles south or receive a refund. I was very upset!!! Why did I not receive a call or email??? Morgantown hosts alot of college events. I finally found a room after spending a half hour calling around. Luckily only 5 miles from Morgantown. However I had to pay double the price of Sonesta. I still have not received my refund or call from management.

The first room we got had a loud heater fan, non-working tv. We requested a new room. The second room also had a loud heater fan, broken tiles in the bathroom. The desk person was very good and helpful. Very minimal breakfast.

The staff (Carla, Austin) and all others, provided excellent service and support during our stay. The room was clean and well-heated, which felt great when it was -3 degrees outside! The breakfast was adequate, given the circumstances. All of these observations are underscored by the very reasonable room rate. Great stay in Morgantown, and we'll be back!

The heat was broken in our room, but luckily we didn’t need it bc the blankets were warm. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The cookies they serve are delicious, we couldn’t get enough of them. The shower hose was leaking when we took a shower. Other than that, for a quick stay definitely worth the price.
