The café was irresistible, with freshly made cakes and delicious ice cream that kept calling our names. To top it off, the hotel lunch and pizza went beyond our expectations… and you simply can’t beat the location. Waking up and stepping straight onto Grand Anse Beach felt like a dream. It’s truly one of the best beaches in the world. A memorable experience from start to finish!"

"Towels were removed and not replaced. Had to ask for wash cloths and for tea to be replaced daily. Parking is awful, with too tight spaces, no turning radius, poor sight lines, dangerous obstacles and other hazards. I scraped my rental car on low rock at roadside that should have been cut back."

"Wonderful stay! Very boutique and intimate. Super relaxing, clean. Staff is attentive and professional. The rooms are incredible, bed is comfortable and the view from the room was out of this world. Loved direct access to the water along with snorkel gear. Will definitely stay again in the future! "

"Our room was cleaned daily by a committed housekeeping staff. Lorene & Ingrid were exceptional, warm and friendly. They were limited by the lack of resources. Gem is conveniently located on a beach, however the rooms are showing their age and it is clear that management has not invested in updating the room in a very long time. Basic things like a running toilet tank, having to hold the lever to get the toilet to flush, a refrigerator that leaks, all reflect the lack of intention to the small details. For the most part, the staff was helpful and friendly, however, there was a server at the bar at Kalinago who was rude, dismissive and very combative. I was told that she was fairly new to the team. Management could do a better job of ensuring that their employees, as in this case, properly reflect the values and the mission of Gem/Kalinago. Deslin, who assisted us over breakfast and the bar at Kalinago was exceptional! Her maturity level and attention to details, along with her deep care for her customers was appreciated. "

"We loved our stay at Laluna. The only thing I would say is, we chose this particular resort in part because each room had a private plunge pool. We unfortunately only used ours once, and because we felt that we should. It's located in the front of your room, right along the walking path that others take. We wished it were more private and inviting. The food at the restaurant on the property was really good, and I can't recommend the spa again. We ended up going back a second time for another balinese massage before leaving, because it was that amazing. The property is lovely and the pool and beach are beautifully maintained."
