Vézelay Abbey or Abbaye Sainte-Marie-Madeleine de Vézelay is a Benedictine and Cluniac monastery in Vézelay in the Yonne department in northern Burgundy, France. The Benedictine abbey church, now the Basilica of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine, with its complicated program of imagery in sculpted capitals and portals, is one of the outstanding masterpieces of Burgundian Romanesque art and architecture. Sacked by the Huguenots in 1569, the building suffered neglect in the 17th and the 18th centuries and some further damage during the period of the French Revolution. The church and hill at Vézelay were added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1979.

The beautiful gardens at this charming hotel. Set in a tiny village in the middle of France, the nightly rates are very reasonable (less than a standard hotel night in Paris). Large rooms, outdoor pool in the garden, lovely terrace, and helpful staff all make for a great stay.

基本上都很好，但因為我在這裡住了五天，酒店並沒有每天為我換新毛巾，又沒有拖鞋，所以這方面再改善會更好。

雖然酒店附近有地鐵站,但是不是景點沿線的地鐵站,很多時間需要轉車或是走10分鐘左右到其他的地鐵站乘車,覺得不太方便。 酒店本身是比較舊,無論是房間或是大堂都是有年代感的,房間第1次進去時有點灰灰暗暗,地毯和洗手間的衛生也是有待改善,可是空間是夠的,打開2個大的2個小的行李箱不是問題。 不過酒店員工非常好,問他們景點都能簡單易懂的教我們怎樣去, 而且還提醒我地星期天巴黎的店關很早,要去超級市場就提早去,是值得加分的。 不過我不喜歡外出時要交房間卡給前臺,而且回去是只要說房間號就行,我是覺得不安全。
