This was SO close to the Great Sand Dunes! There are so many little, extra details that the owner put into the rental. It was pristinely clean & we felt so cozy. It’s a great location for night sky viewing, also. Super close to Zapata Falls.

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home. It was clean, comfortable and everything needed for a relaxing stay. It is exceptionally convenient to the Sand Dunes in a very nice location.

We cannot say enough good things about this property and the whole experience. Everything was clean, well stocked and very thoughtfully organized. We took advantage of all the amenities and it was such a treat to have such a comfortable place to stay near the dunes and Zapata Falls. We loved the quiet setting and the views. We feel completely recharged we will absolutely come again and again! Highly highly recommend.

Awesome Stay!

We had a great time on the property. Beautiful inside as well as the views on the outside. Only a short drive to Great Sand Dunes National Park. Would highly recommend and will try to visit again.

Everything about this house was fantastic. Clean, well-stocked, great views, and the location could not have been more convenient for access to Great Sand Dunes National Park and the San Luis Valley. The communication with the owner/property manager was always prompt and helpful.We highly recommend this property

Fabulous stay!

This is the perfect location for exploring Great Sand Dunes and Zapata Falls! The house is impeccably decorated and very clean. Views are amazing - you can see the Great Sand Dunes in the distance. We would definitely stay here again!

Such a wonderful stay in a lovely location. The linens were clean and soft, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the outdoor fire pit area was a hit for the family. The beds were soft and the pillows were plenty and lovely (coming from a pillow snob). 17 mins to the Sand Dunes. It’s so dark at night that the star gazing was amazing. We’ve already booked our trip back for next year!!

Great Stay Near the Dunes

I can honestly say that this is probably the best overall experience we have had staying at a short-term rental and it is all because of the property owners! Everything was even better than described, expectations were clear, communication was amazing and they made it so easy for us to bring our pup with us on our family weekend. Not to mention it is on the main road to the Park, close to Zapata Falls and not so far from the other interesting attractions like the Gator Farm and UFO Watchtower.It was the perfect place for us and we will definitely rent from them again!

Great Getaway at the Dunes!

This property is in a phenominal location to access Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. We enjoyed the property, the views, easy access to peaceful trails to walk our dog and the privacy of the location for our family. I've already recommended it to friends and colleagues and am grateful for the opportunity to stay at this wonderfull Getaway at the Dunes!

Phenomenal place! House spotless,well appointed, every possible convenience and special touch you could want. Unbelievable views of dunes and mountains on all sides. So sad to leave! This is the ONLY place to stay!

Perfect Dune Stay!

We had an exceptional stay at this property, which truly exceeded our expectations. Its location is ideal, just ten minutes from the stunning Great Sand Dunes National Park. The house itself was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches that made it feel both homey and inviting. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect retreat. The getaway at the dunes was perfect for our family when visiting Sand Dunes NP. It was super clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Great view of the Dunes from the property. The owner was very responsive and helpful! We wish we could have stayed longer.

Quiet & Cozy Getaway

Our family wanted to visit the Great Sand Dunes, and this home was the most perfect place to stay! The home was super clean and well-stocked to cook meals. Clean and comfortable beds, and a fire pit to enjoy the view. The views are unbeatable and so quiet; it’s as close to camping as possible with all the home comforts. We will be back!

Wonderful rental property

This is one of the best rental properties we have stayed at. The house was well appointed, good kitchen set up. Comfortable and clean. And the view from the outside of the great dunes and mountains were spectacular. With nice furniture set up for you to sit outside and enjoy the view whether with your morning coffee or watching the sunset.

Breathtaking and Beautiful

Everything in this home was updated and absolutely beautiful. The home had the most incredible views. We can see the dunes from the the deck. We enjoyed the hiking and hot springs but mostly the peaceful secluded area. What a find!!!

Amazing View

The view from Getaway at the Dunes was breathtakingly beautiful! The Dunes with Mount Herard behind it and a vast field of evening primrose blooming in the foreground was stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed making meals, watching (casting was easy) TV together and we slept very well. Google Maps worked for us and the gate entrance was simple.

Cozy place close to the dunes

The property is at a great location very close to the dunes, about 15 min drive. You can literally see it from your backyard. The property is exactly as listed and its very quiet if you're looking for the peace. The open space around is the best. My pup thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a little hiccuo during the first night but the host addressed it very quicklu.wr love the place and will return when we go back to the dunes.
