"This is the fourth time we have stayed here and will always be our first choice when we start a holiday in the South Island. So convenient as you enter Kaikoura and it is extremely well laid out inside and out. Seems to be brand new every time we come in it is so clean and appointments so good."

"We stayed for one night, with my Mother and my two kids aged 2 and 5. The owners have acquired the business over the last month or so and are making genuine efforts to upgrade the facilities and do best by their customers. Super friendly staff. Spotlessly clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Fit out is basic but they are upgrading it currently and I imagine that the next time we stay, it will be even better. Thanks for an enjoyable little getaway. We will see you next time!"

"Te Mahuru Tetreat is a jewel in Kaikoura’s crown. A perfect location, easy to get to and not far out of Kaikōura itself. The accommodation provides a high standard of facilities and is immaculate. It provided everything we need for our stay and the use of the hot tub and do some star gazing is phenomenal - a must if you are staying at Te Mahuru Retreat. Nothing is too much for the host and the breakfast is well catered. We had a very comfortable and relaxing staying, the only thing is we wished we had stayed for longer. You will not be disappointed and would highly recommend this accommodation if you are staying in Kaikoura and the surrounding area."
