"Cozy cottage in the centre of the village. Right beside 2 pubs which serve food and an excellent coffee shop. Need to book for a meal in the Golden Lion as it is very busy. Small local shop for basics. North Allerton is only 15 minute drive away and a good shopping centre. Nearby Mount Grace Priory is well worth a visit."

"Pros: spacious, good amenities, quiet than we thought even on main road, washing machine with dryer, lots of board games, suitable for family stay, nice and quiet village, use Northallerton for all supports but not in the village Cons: need better and professional cleaning, dusty around, only 4 teaspoons, need more toiletries and toilet papers, need curtain or blinds to cover family bathroom (exposed to outside), garden needs serious tidy up, need lighting above dinning table (we rely on sunlight from one side, luckily in summer). It got potential to be a better holiday home. Overall we enjoy the stay. 4 adults, 1 teenager, summer."

"This cottage was ideal for our family of 6 to stay. Central to Osmotherley, very close to some nice pubs. Would've got 5 stars but it didn't have anyway to hang washing out and we found a plate with food on it under master bed, which had been there a long time."

"Excellent location in the hambleton area amazing spot for exploring the area so many things to do. Had a meal at the the golden lion in the village which was really good. We went to pately bridge and visited the nidderdale museum which was great! The bungalow is very homely and we all really did have an excellent stay and I would recommend. I will just add that the entrance to the property is a small but steep hill- ok for the car but I’m not sure my elderly dad would’ve been able to manage, the paving at the front of the property is loose and needs fixed sooner rather than later too. Unfortunately the beautiful deep bath was not good for us as 3 of the 4 staying couldn’t get in it to have a bath or shower so we reverted to washing at the sink like in the olden days! These problems would not stop me going back again at all as the holiday as a whole was one of the best I’ve had!"

"Lovely cottage with such a tranquil atmosphere, the house is bigger than expected, the beds and sofas were comfy and there were plenty of radiators to keep us warm. The summer house is a nice addition and the room with the glass panels is beautiful if you like star gazing or listening to the rain, or better yet.. a storm. If I was to give some constructive criticism, I would have liked to have seen a bigger TV and some more comfortable chairs/loungers in the room with the glass panels so I could have laid there or perhaps even slept beneath the stars but that wouldn’t stop me from wanting to stay here again in the future."

"The accommodation was small but lovely everything you could need and the village is beautiful - the only thing I would say when booking The Boiler House - I did not realize it was behind a house/garage with little or no view - which we found rather disappointing - it was fine for a few days and the owner was so lovely - we felt the advert for this cottage just a bit misleading"
