We went here because my son has cancer and heated pools feel good on his body after a long drive, pool was cold other people even said its not warm at all fist nighr there we told them blew us off went to take showers had no hot water in shower just sink. Told them for 2 days nothing. There was a man past out and throwing up in hall way. We asked foe a refund so we could go to a different hotel was told we cant have a refund but could go to a different hotel about 10pm a lady did call and said ahe was sorry about the water was not told about from day shift moved us to new room we told her about pool and said ahe was told bye people it was cold too. New room tub drain wouldn't work unless u held it down. Are last night there about 1030pm as we are in bed a man entered are room he was scared as much as we were said sorry they gave him wrong room. That made it hard to sleep that was glad to leave we left at 8am breakfast there was a joke will not stay there again or recommend

We have guild lines set by our local Health department the temps we got during our readings were between 84.5 degrees and 86 degrees which is as high as we can take the temp on our pool. We also had the maintenance man look into the hot water issue and all 3 of our tanks were operating properly. I also want to apologize for the man walking in to your room I am researching that now to find out how that happened. As hard as we try we can not control others who stay here when the desk clerk was notified by a guest that there was someone in our guest laundry room passed out she took care of the issue right away, However this apology does not change the out come of your stay. Hotel staff tried, but I got the feeling there wasn't much to work with. Beds were comfortable, though very tall (making it feel like you were dismounting a horse). Breakfast was not that great. Staff did accommodate our family when we needed to meet in the breakfast room outside of breakfast hours. Our family had three rooms, one of which didn't have hot water; front desk said: "that's too bad." Noticed that there was quite a sex and drugs party happening next to one of the rooms we had on the first floor; could smell meth and weed smoking throughout the first floor by room 127 or 125; in my past, that would have been fun, at this point in my life and in recovery, it was a trigger that I had to avoid. Overall, not a great experience.

Chlorine burns from pool
My grandkids and their friends got chlorine burns from all the chemicals in the water!!! Front desk didn’t even care! They were crying their little bodies were so red and burned! Won’t stay here again!!

Received a call this morning stating that they weren’t going to be able to give me a room due to plumbing issues. She told me she called the Super 8 hotel to try to find a room, but told her that I would not stay there because it is not very nice. Told her that I wanted to cancel but she told me that she would call me back to see if she can do anything to help. Never got a phone call back so I called the hotel. Tonight I was told that my card was charged for the room. I was told tonight that they were going to try to move some people around (thought it was sold out). I already changed my plans and came that way for just a few hours without bags. Very frustrated that I now have to pay for a room and that there was no communication from the hotel

We have allergies. After I placed my hand on top the furniture incasing the mini fridge it was snowing. It was some really thick dust balls. I had to wash my hands afterwards. We started sneezing afterwards. We didn't like that the washers & dryer was broken. Besides those problems it was a comfortable stay.

Good property and friendly staff, but my stay meh
Good property, convenient location within walking distance of Mt Vernon central square, restaurants, brew pub etc., helpful staff and easy parking. My stay wasn’t great though - room smelled like smoke, sheets were humid from likely not cooling the room for a long time prior, and the AC was noisy. I’d go back but it wouldn’t be my first choice I’m afraid to say. That’s unfortunate because the staff was really nice and the place others kept sharp and clean. Maybe it was just a fluke with my stay.

Check-in was excellent. Efficient and friendly. Room was clean and well appointed with convenient amenities. The bed may’ve been a bit high, making it tricky to get in or out of, especially during the night. Street sounds were loud. The reception clerk was very helpful and delightful to speak to.

We asked for a roll away bed. Either you have one or you don’t. The response we got was “ I don’t know”. We called down to the desk…”I don’t know “ Finally we gave up and asked for extra blankets. They acted very inconvenienced and told us to come get them. But, the floor bed was just as comfortable as the beds. Rock hard! But, the rooms were very clean.

The staff at this property was very friendly. We had an issue where my reservation was changed from two queen beds to a king bed. The staff was able to get us a two queen bed room with no trouble. This property is right off the bike path and as such it was super convenient for us.
