We chose to pay at the property with cash and had to put a cash deposit(refundable) with what we paid for the room. But I dont remember seeing or reading that there would be a "cash deposit" for a "cash transaction" on the website. When I asked what the deposit was for the lady was a little snippy and stated it would be for any damages found. We are old so highly unlikley we would create any damages! When checking out there was no one at the desk so we had to check out with the "kiosk lady"🤔 Requested our deposit back and half the money got stuck in the machine, then had to wait for a "real person" to get our $$ out of the machine. The room was clean, could use some upgrades. Looked like the hotel was something else then remodeled to become a Quality Inn. We also never received a receipt for our nights stay.

The electronic check in system was the most inhospitable aspect of any hospitality place I have experienced in my 50 years of frequent travel in all 50 states and 97 countries worldwide. It was clean and the bed and toilet worked. Mostly quiet. Breakfast was too crowded in a tiny room, so I went to McDonalds. Last Quality/Comfort Inn or Clarion stay for me after it was my preferred chain from 1995 to 2014. Pity.
What greets you after a long drive. A badly designed kiosk! Hospitality?.

I would like to give them a better overall review, as they do seem to be trying. The problem was the smell as you walked into the room was extremely musty. It was clean, but that smell hit you every time you walked in. They have a decent breakfast, and I think they really are trying. It just needs a little more than it’s currently offering to get a five star rating for the value it offers.

First the sliding entrance door did not work. It was cold and trying to bring in your bags was difficult. Got to our room. It was a queen and paid for a king. Went back to the guy wanted to disagree with me. Had to show him reservation on phone. Got a different room. Keys would not work. Had others standing in hall who could not get in their room. Woman next morning was clearly angry because her key had been made to no longer work and she had not checked out totally. Terrible experience. Will stay elsewhere next time.
