B&B Le Cycas was a gem! The location is perfect with excellent on-site parking and easy access to train and bus stops—just 15 minutes to Naples, Sorrento, or Pompeii. The B&B has a clean, authentic, and romantic vibe, with great AC and a delicious breakfast. Antonella, the sweet and helpful landlady, made our stay even better. We loved it so much we stayed a second night and even made a trip to Capri. Highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived we were met with kindness and hospitality. The entire family were hospitable and accommodating, even as they were dealing with the passing of a close friend at the time. The property is very convenient to the town of Castellamare while at the same time being quiet and peaceful. The views from the deck are marvelous as well. Wonderful stay, even better hosts. Freundliche Gastgeberin, auf Nachfrage wurde am Ende des 2. Tages der WC Sitz angebracht, Raumduft penetrant, Bedarf an gründlicherer Reinigung. Es wurden Veränderungen im Zimmer zum Nachteil zu den veröffentlichten Bildern vorgenommen. Umgebung der Unterkunft an einer stark befahrenen Straße ohne Fußweg und allgemein nicht ansprechend. Aufenthalt wurde bereits nach der 4. Nacht zu den geplanten 11. Nächten abgebrochen. Die örtliche Abgabe sollte für alle 11. Nächte beglichen werden, man konnte sich auf die von Hotels.com genannten max. 7. Nächte einigen. Leider auch keine Rückerstattung aufgrund der gebuchten Konditionen.

It was a large family room and bathroom with private outside terrace / breakfast place (great beakfasts) Owners were lovely.... friendly, hospitable and helpful. Location was between Sorrento and Pompei and we took trains to both places in the 4 days we were there....plenty of them. Although we had to walk on the side of a road, we could still get quite easily to the station.

Plus: Praktiskt, gångavstånd till stationen som tar dig vidare; Mycket trevligt bemötande; Privat Parkering. Minus: Ibland fick vi inte varmvatten i duschen; Brist på toalettartiklar, såsom schampo och engångsmugg; Mjölkkannan till frukosten var odiskad under hela vår vistelse.

Wir waren drei Nächte hier und haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. Pasquale und Antonella haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen und uns direkt Tipps für die Aktivitäten der nächsten Tage gegeben. Wir sind mit dem Auto angereist und konnten im Hinterhof unter einem hübschen Zitronenbaum parken. Das war wirklich super, da die Straße doch sehr eng ist. Das Zimmer war traumhaft schön. Ich kam hinein und fühlte mich, mit dem Kronleuchter an der Decke und der zauberhaften Einrichtung mit viel liebe zum Detail, fast wie in königlichen Gemächern. Alles war super sauber und gepflegt. Sogar ein kleiner Kühlschrank stand in der Ecke. Der Ausblick vom Balkon auf die umliegenden Berge war sehr schön. Vom Straßenlärm hat man bei geschlossenem Fenster nichts mitbekommen und auch beim Frühstück auf dem Balkon haben die Autos nicht gestört. Es war eher interessant den italienischen Fahrstil zu beobachten (den ich immer noch höchst erstaunlich finde). Das Frühstück selbst war sehr sehr lecker. Selbstgemachte Croissants und Kuchen, Kaffee aus der Region und frisch gepresster Orangensaft aus eigenem Anbau - besser kann der Tag nicht starten! Die Lage ist gut, denn man ist mit dem Auto in 10 Minuten im Zentrum von Pompei. Es soll auch eine Bahnstation in der Nähe geben, die fußläufig zu erreichen ist. Alles in allem kann ich jedem nur empfehlen einen Urlaub bei Pasquale und Antonella zu verbringen. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und würden definitiv wieder buchen. Grazie per tutto!

Cheap and authentic

We were with Antonella and Pasquale over Easter 2018. They were really very friendly and cared for us down to the smallest detail! Anyone looking for something cheap and authentic centrally located in the region is right here! The train station is only 10 minutes away on foot and for visit Pompeii you can also walk in 45 minutes (also possible with the train) Near Pioppaino is a town called Sorrento, which is definitely also worth a visit. Unfortunately, 2 days were not enough to see more than Pompeii, Sorrento and Herculaneum. We would book again anytime.
