We loved our stay in this cute skoolie! The setting was peaceful and relaxing, and evenings by the fire pit were a highlight. The hosts were wonderful and even brought extra firewood. Such a fun and memorable getaway!

Skoolie was the perfect long weekend getaway. Close to all attractions from the state parks to the adorable town no more than 10 minutes away. Highly recommend and would come back for another long weekend

Charming renovated bus

Very cute and secluded. Short drive to south Syllamore creek, town square and Blanchard springs. Very roomy for a school bus. If I had a bus I would renovate it the same way!!! Host is very pleasant and quick to reply and assist with requests. We will be staying with Fireside at other locations for sure!

great weekend retreat

we only stayed one night, but we had a great stay. We took time to enjoy the fire pit and out overall stay was very comfortable. Everything was very clean and tidy and well planned out.

Cute little get away!

This little bus was even cuter than described! Very clean, and comfortable. The area is peaceful and quiet. The only thing I’d say is that it’s a stretch to say it sleeps 4. There were only 2 of us and we slept very comfortably. I’d say 3 would be okay as long as they’re relatively small and at least 2 are comfortable sharing a full size bed. It was perfect for us.

Unique place to stay

Nice clean “cabin”. Wasn’t as private/remote as pictures appeared but with the time of year, the other cabins right next door seemed empty so there wasn’t a lot of activity right around us. Nice unique place to stay. We really enjoyed our time.

The Skoolie was just what I expected from the listing and my family loved it. Very unique and well done conversion. Fully stocked with necessities and some great amenities (tv, internet, toaster oven). Comfortable bed.

Principals on the bus

We were their for only ten minutes and two huge deer came up wagging their tails like dogs. It was quite and very peaceful. We enjoyed the outdoor space with the pleasant temperatures. The bus contained everything we needed including tv and Wi-Fi.

Quaint relaxation - did not want to leave! We will be back by God’s mercy and grace!

I loved the email with all the things to do before we arrived! It was so relaxing! Private area! Very neat way to spend the 50th birthday. The host was very accommodating. Everything was just as listed! There were no surprises. No problems with the coolie schoolie.

Cute bus

We came for a short weekend trip bc I thought staying here would be super unique and a great core memory. It was unique. It’s clean and very comfortable. Due to the small space, the toilet is situated in the shower itself. We knew this before we went so we all took a long shower before and after this trip. The bed is very comfortable. The fire pit is nice. We ended up leaving in the middle of the night and driving home bc a really bad smell was circulating from the very back of the bus. It didn’t seem to be coming from the toilet but we sensed it most coming from the heater. I am sure the host, having a long history of great reviews will investigate and correct whatever is causing this. It smelled like a rotten Easter egg.

Christmas Vaca

Our family had a lovely time on the skoolie. It rained the first night, but we just put on our rain coats and had a fire anyways. The wood was nice and seasoned. The skoolie was actually better than pictures! The second day and night we had a blast. Played baggo, played some games that were in the bus, and of course had Santa. Started the fire in the morning and had it all day and night. The neighbors are literally right next door on both sides. So just a little FYI. I think one actually lives there, but they have put a little fence up in between that one. The other one is another rental, but I think it was to cold for them to wonder around. So we were the only ones around. Just us and the pups. Definitely would go again!!

Perfect night with fireflies

I had a wonderful time and this place was perfect for what I wanted. A quiet spot to be alone with fireflies. I sat out near the fire pit and just listened to the cicadas and watched the woods light up with fireflies. Really, that is what I was hoping for and the spot delivered. The interior of Skoolie is comfortable and cosy and cool even when it is blazing hot outside. The surrounding area is quite and sleeping was undisturbed. In the morning I was able to do a 2 mile walk along the loop road. Deer and fawns were out as where rabbits and squirrels. The kitchen is very well equipped. I didn’t cook anything beyond a microwave and toaster, but there are plenty of utensils, measuring cups, and pans for doing a bit of cooking. Refrigerator is small, but the little freezer kept my frozen foods frozen and I was able to freeze a water bottle in it overnight. I would caution anyone who is really tall that I did feel like I might be ramming my head into the ceiling at any moment and I am only 5 feet and some change. I think it is an optical illusion because the windows are lower than your shoulders, but my SO would have felt a bit cramped in this space. However, that said, I could stay a week and be very happy here! Too bad I only had time for the one night.
