Lovely cabin. Plenty of space for our family of 9. Games, puzzles, chairs, life jackets, and kitchen equipped with the necessities. The beds were comfortable, the screened porch was lovely, and the creek access was perfect. Ivy Vacations is a great host. Thanks for a great little vacation!

One of the best rentals we have stayed in!

One of the best rentals we have stayed in! Beautiful home, well stocked with plenty of items needed for our stay. The creek was very nice. I would definitely take note when they recommend water shoes in their items to bring. Our toddler enjoyed seeing the cows throughout the day, along with occasionally seeing a few other wildlife. We enjoyed our weekend getaway with family!

The perfect quiet gettaway

You will love it! Views are pretty. Property is very quiet. Perfect in the summertime with the creek running through. Firepit perfect for gatherings…a really neat place! It is a few minutes out of town so make sure to have everything you need if you don’t plan to go into town. A really special hidden treasure!

We had a nice, relaxing weekend.

We had a nice, relaxing weekend. The house is in a pretty and peaceful spot. On a clear night you can see the stars well. The creek nearby is beautiful and was running well due to recent rain. We could hear it from the porch and even though one day was pretty rainy we still enjoyed sitting out on the screened in porch. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts provided the directions and details for check-in just as they promised.

This is truly a little gem farmhouse.

This is truly a little gem farmhouse. It's not a stay on some fancy farm, so be prepared for your country surroundings. If you wonder down to the creekaround the land, you will be greetedran off by country critters. Bring bug spray to protect your legs from ticks & chiggers. Do not think the cows are pets. They want nothing to do with you, and should be left alone. There is a local dog named "Bear" who will visit you, and he loves to fetch and play with kiddos. He will steal your ballfrisbee. lol.. The house is cosey and clean. Coffee sitting on the front porch in the early mornings was my favorite part. Yes, there's a creek, but this is the country. It's not a resort with curbside accommodations. We enjoyed leaving it as is by just dipping our feet in the cool spring-fed water and respecting the nature around us. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at the John Thomas Farmhouse. Sarah with Ivy Vacations was wonderful. She was personable, knowledgeable and quick to respond. The farmhouse has all kinds of board games, cozy seating, throw blankets, comfortable beds, anything you might need to cook in the kitchen, a large capacity washer and dryer - you name it. Clearly, the owners put great care into making this cabin a perfect respite from the cares of everyday life. We have 2 teenagers, and it was really nice to spend time together in such a gorgeous setting. The charming farmhouse, gorgeous surroundings and excellent customer service make the John Thomas Farmhouse a wonderful stay! -It would be very handy to have laundry hampers in the bedrooms. -Some sort of indoor fly catcher. It’s a farm so flies are to be expected inside and out. There were a lot of them in the house though, so just something to help combat them. -Shampoo and conditioner in the bathrooms. You are very clear that it isn’t provided, so that’s good. It would just be really handy. Something from the Dollar Tree would work just fine. -Nightlights in the bathrooms. -Thank you for providing a vacuum, a dish drainer rack, extra trash bags (and they were the good kind, not the cheap, flimsy kind - yaa!) - basically thank you for making it easy to clean up after ourselves! :) -You have great cookware, mixing bowls, etc. in the kitchen. I love the pretty Pioneer Woman crockpot. -You have excellent cleaners. Everything was very clean!

Wonderful and peaceful stay. Just what we needed!

We loved our stay in this remote location. The home was clean and comfortable. The highlights to our stay were the river access on the property and the fire pit. Our kids loved throwing rocks in the river and making s’mores. They also loved seeing the cattle! We were able to go horseback riding with a company nearby and eat at a great cafe in town as well. Overall, it was a wonderful and peaceful stay. Just what we needed!
