Beautiful cabin and scenery. We enjoyed star gazing and watching the deer. The cowboy hot tub was amazing. Highly recommend

Relaxing and peaceful

Our stay at Hawk Haven was great. It was secluded and very peaceful. The hot tub and the fireplace made it much more relaxing. After hiking each day it was nice to relax in the hot tub. It was nice to be able to sit out on the back deck each morning to drink coffee and watch the deer come out and eat.

Excellent cabin!

We loved the privacy, the peacefulness, the cleanliness, and it was decorated so pretty for fall! There were five of us. We all had such a good time!

Little piece of heaven

Wished we could have stayed longer at this aptly named haven! So peaceful and beautifully located out by itself but still just a few minutes from town. It was more than adequately stocked with everything you could need and the smell of cedar inside was just heavenly! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and I hope to return soon with girlfriends!

Very nice cabin with awesome view!

We are a family of four and we were very comfortable in the cabin. Close to downtown Mountain View but the cabin is tucked away on the mountain where it’s so quiet and beautiful scenery & wildlife! Highly recommend!

The views are serene and beautiful. The cabin is not far from town. The hot tub was enjoyable but a little quirky. The cabin was clean and beautiful. It was a great stay.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Perfect small cabin for a getaway. Clean and beautifully furnished with a gorgeous view from the back deck. The cabin is secluded yet close to town and area attractions. We will likely return in the future.

Weekend Getaway

What a beautiful view this cabin has. We even got to enjoy a mam deer and her two babies in the backyard. Very quaint and quiet spot to enjoy your time near Mountain View.

9th Anniversary Trip

This cabin is the most cozy cabin we’ve stayed in. The view out the back is amazing along with the deer that visited daily. It is super clean and stocked with the necessities. We enjoyed Mountain View a lot my favorite part was just hanging out in the lovely cabin.

Delighted with this cabin and beautiful view!

What a delightful surprise! The online photos to not do it justice. The view was excellent and the location felt so private, almost isolated. Clean and so cozy! Our family enjoyed our stay tremendously!

Pine cone rental

The cabin was in a perfect location, outside of town but not too far and fairly secluded. It’s also very close to the hell creek natural area entrance i would suggest checking it out if you like hiking. The pictures do not do the property Justice the views are excellent.

Beautiful and private

I chose this rental for the total solar eclipse because of the unobstructed view to the sky. It was a great choice! What was supposed to be a family trip with four adults became a one-person getaway because of illness. I felt completely completely at ease staying alone. The cabin is comfortable and has everything needed for a quiet getaway. I would definitely stay here again.

Brother/sister vacation

Great location, quiet and nice view. I left my sister at the cabin while I was working in the area. The cabin is at the end of the road and you can't see the neighbors. Not far from town but still away from people. Deer were in the yard almost every day. The place was very clean and comfortable.

Mama chicken and her hens vacation.

We absolutely loved the property and the cabin! While we didn't see any deer (our timing may of been off) we saw plenty of hawks and had a very territorial pair of hummingbirds that kept us company out on the back porch. It is at a dead end and very secluded with only sounds of nature and possibly ancestors, with a spectacualr view. The Jimmy Driftwood Barn, Mellons Country Store, and McSpaddens Dulcimer Shoppe is right down the highway the road and the town center is just a little further down.

The location and the cabin were perfectly suited for us. Our 86 year old cousin who lives nearby really enjoyed our visit. There were two minor problems during our stay that I called the manager about. She never returned my calls. I have stayed at many VRBO and have always had nothing but professional experiences. Like I said, we loved the cabin and the view was awesome! But I would have appreciated at least a callback.

Absolutely perfect!

I can’t stress enough how much I loved this little cabin! That view is breathtakingly beautiful from sunrise to sunset. It is really secluded and peaceful. I enjoyed watching the deer from the hot tub in the evening. The deck is just spectacular period. So great for stargazing! There were even a few hummingbirds left around in the morning that hadn’t flown South yet. The bed I slept in (master) was super comfy. I used both the tub & shower and the hot water is endless! The water pressure in the shower is great, too. The AC works really well. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I bought groceries and a puzzle on the way in and literally never left for two days. I just can’t say enough good things about this place. It helped restore some peace in my soul. Will definitely return. *even though I mostly stayed on property this trip, the town of Mountain View has so much to offer: two movie theaters (a twin cinema AND a fun drive-in), fantastic restaurants, shopping and live music.

Bad Experience

Overall the cabin had good amenities . Our problem came from the omission of "Owner Controlled Temperature in cabin." When we arrived at ck in time it was rainey & cold. Expecting to be warm inside, only to find the temp could not be adjusted by us. It said owner had temperature locked. We are older adults with health issues,one man is fighting cancer, and if it had stated so before we booked we would have made other arrangements. I called the after hours number listed around 8pm that night and never got a call back. We spent a miserable night being cold. Sometime the next day somehow we were finally able to change the temperature inside the cabin, so i guess they responded without the courtesy of a phone call.
