"Handicap kind is an excellent description of this property. I have some mobility challenges and it was perfect for our needs. I did need the assistance of my husband to navigate parts of the property but definitely doable. The shower bench was great! The host left a small gift for our son, which was a nice surprise. The views were stunning. We sat on the porch at night to enjoy the fireflies. We are building a home in the area and will definitely be staying again. If you are on the fence, go ahead a book this cozy cabin, you will not be disappointed. Thank you!"

Cozy Bear Paw Mountain Retreat

"This is a great place for family vacation and surrounding is really amazing greenery quite and calm. Place is designed to keep children in mind. We had a great time here during our trip. Bruce our host is excellent in answering any questions which we have. It was great to hear to from Bruce a day before we arrive, which guided us as what to expect and what to bring with you to have a pleasant stay. Bruce went above and beyond and helped us with Tubing on lake and kids enjoyed fun filled 2 hrs on lake. Will visit soon!!!"

"Host was very nice. Check-in was easy. Rain was forecast, so chose to stay here because of the indoor pool table and ping pong table. The place was not clean. Planned to grill for two meals, but when we tried to use the grill on the porch there were 5 mice running around directly under the grate and had built a nest that towered up to the grate. So I moved supper to the kitchen oven, but it was filthy on the inside. Tried to use a measuring cup, but it had 2 long-dead bugs in the bottom of it. The other measuring cup had a strange powder in it. The inside shower curtain in the master bath had mold growing on it (though the rest of bathroom was clean). The pool table was unusable because the pool sticks were missing tips and there were no replacement tips. The ping pong net is messed up, but was somewhat usable. The tennis court, which is maintained by the resort, is not usable because tall grass is growing all up in cracks on the court. Looks long unused. The pool, also maintained by the resort, was closed for remodeling. We were very disappointed that so many of the listed amenities were not usable. Upon checkout, you have to haul your trash 7 1/2 miles down the road to a county site. When we arrived, they were closed for Memorial Day which meant we had to ride home with 4 kitchen size bags of trash for 6 hrs. This was 3 days of trash for a family of 6. On the positive, the marina and lake were great."

"Great spot on the lake! Floorplan was smart but as a group of 4 adults we didn't really spend any time downstairs. There was no cell service but the Internet kept us connected for texts and calls. The only small hiccup we had was that the power went out for a few hours. Because the power was out, there was no Internet so no real way to contact anyone about it unless you drove back 40 minutes or so to town to get some service. Fortunately we caught a break in the rainy weekend and the sun came out around the time the power went off, so we played in the lake while we waited for it to come back on."

"The little cabin in the woods was a perfect and restful get away. Quiet, comfortable, beautiful and well maintained. The host has thought of everything to make our time away from home easy and restful. Plus, Bear Paw is one of our favorite places. The lake and mountains are breathtaking. And playing pickleball was so much fun."

"The cabin was just what I expected, beautiful and serene. The driveway up to the cabin was a little unnerving for someone who doesn’t travel to the mountains much but once you get used to it, it wasn’t bad at all. I would have loved to have been able to fish from the floating dock but the water hadn’t quite reached our area yet. My son in law was able to catch some fish in the small pond at the security gate so he was happy. The cabin was well stocked and we were able to easily use the internet. Everything was clean and well taken care of. We loved eating out on the screened in porch. I loved rocking in the rocking chairs and swinging in the swing on the porch also. The host was easy to contact, answered our questions quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to go back soon."
